  1. We failed because we could not raise any money from selling players bought in by the previous regimes and because of the high wages paid to them.
  2. http://www.skysports.com/football/
  3. No I agree with you I think we may have sold if we were in deep trouble especially Dyer. However I am not certain that there were potential buyers for any of the others thats all
  4. Maybe no one wanted to buy If you were a championship club who would you buy?
  5. Yes Ok but why would anybody leak them?
  6. Well what do you think is going to happen you usually have a strong opinion
  7. I tend to agree and still cannot understand why anyone would leak the story if it were true
  8. We are also not getting in money for next lot of season tickets but we could get money in for Dyer
  9. Why would anybody want to leak these details what are they gaining? People usually leak to gain an advantage
  10. I just cannot see any scenario that if we are relegated we could become a decent side overnight. Most of the current players will move on and we would therefore have to build a team from scratch. Any team would probably take sometime to gel so the decision not to go into administration and to fight for survival seems the best. Administration may or may not get rid of Lowe Wilde etc either
  11. Seems a positive and realistic statement Though he might have welcomed one player if they would have instantly improved the team, he was determined not to sign anybody just for the sake of it with finances so tight. Instead, he insists that the fact ALL his players are playing for their own futures could be massively more beneficial than, in effect, hired guns who can return to their parent club in a month or so if things don’t work out
  12. So developing our own seems a good idea. It has been our problem for years bringing players in has not been that successful I know one or two have been OK Davis Davies John but lots have not performed that well consistently
  13. Must be the Cider
  14. Why should he have scored? Were the Irish not trying to stop him scoring
  15. 1853: Poland almost pull a goal back as Roger stands up a cross that Southampton's Marek Saganowski gets up well to meet with a decent downward header, but it is just the wrong side of the post for the visitors.
  16. BBC WEBSITE 1905: GOAL Northern Ireland 3-2 Poland A brilliant diving header from Southampton's Marek Saganowski in the first minute of injury time. Saints fans in the office jumps up and down.
  17. Yes he is and not doing that well
  18. Surely the only things that have happened this year 1 SVENSSON will not play again and has been replaced by JPS 2 Saga probably our best player is now available and because of that and Euell being fully fit the tactics have changed to a more realistic system which is more appropriate to the Championship and Wotte is a strong manager. 3 We have had more luck or rub of the green. The major point of the emphasis on the Academy surely is still in tact
  19. You could be right but the tactics were ridiculous
  20. Sorry Ted Bates before Lawrie whats more he managed the team that stuffed Nottm Forest 5 0 at White Hart Lane where about 40000 of us witnessed a legendary night Ted took us from Third Division to First Division and Europe did not get us relegated and gave Lawrie the platform to build which he did very well.
  21. Totally agree I still feel that the only way forward is to develop players like Lawrie did
  22. The idea of developing the Academy to bring players through obviously was Wilde's and Lowe's ideas but I did not realise it was their idea to play with only one lone striker which I thought particularly stupid at the start of the season when I saw it in action for myself. However the plan for bring through Academy players seems to be still in force with Gobern McLaggon Thomson Patterson White Lancashire Mills around to play in the first team in years to come.
  23. I had them as draws too and we still stayed up
  24. I would add Ron Davies and Bobby Stokes to to the Legends Plus Chivers Huxford Kirby O'Brien McGrath to Icons
  25. Surely it was the tactics employed by JP that have caused the current problems. From the Celtic and Blackpool games early in the season it was evident that the lone or later to become the loan striker was not going to work
