  1. Yes it was a 'free header' but he was relaxed and composed when he headed it must admit I would have been upset if we had conceded it as no one was marking him but very good cross from the under estimated JWP
  2. I would have been happy with a draw but delighted with the win perhaps the draw will come against Arsenal I wonder if Morgan regrets leaving us probably not as he earns loads more cash but if he was still with us we would probably be much higher in the table
  3. I have read the article but I find this a rather strange comment
  4. Seems a strange thing to say I thought they were showing ambition by investing to get into the PL which they did l agree I would be astonished if Austin is on £100k pw. I would be surprised if it was earning more than £50k
  5. It has been pretty underwhelming to be honest poor European Campaign 6 1 defeat at home in League Cup out of FA Cup in third round poor home form in the League until the last two games. But of course we could easily finish 6th or 7th if we can continue to play well
  6. Gold is only replying to West Ham Fans about the Austin deal as they were in for him at one time be nice if we could get Tweets from Ralph. I think Gold is right if we are paying 100000K a week it is not a bargain but we dont know what wages he is on like me Gold is only making a comment. He seems to be doing a good job at West Ham are probably did not go for Austin after the problems with injuries with Carroll
  7. I think it was Gateshead he was involved as a player I think he was coach at Bishop Auckland first on his way to Doncaster and Grimsby Although Souness was not a World Cup Winner it could be said he was more successful than Ball Tottenham Hotspur FA Youth Cup: 1969–70 Middlesbrough Football League Second Division: 1973–74 Liverpool Football League First Division (5): 1978–79, 1979–80, 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84 League Cup (4): 1980–81, 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84 FA Charity Shield (3): 1979, 1980, 1982 European Cup (3): 1977–78, 1980–81, 1983–84 Sampdoria Coppa Italia: 1984–85 Player-Manager Rangers Scottish Premier Division (3): 1986–87, 1988–89, 1989–90 Scottish League Cup (4): 1986–87, 1987–88, 1988–89, 1990–91 Manager Liverpool FA Cup: 1991–92 Galatasaray Turkish Cup: 1995–96 Turkish Super Cup: 1996–97 Blackburn Rovers League Cup: 2001–02 Alan Ball England World Cup: 1966 Everton Football League Division 1 championship: 1969–70 FA Cup finalist: 1968 Arsenal Football League Division 1 runner-up: 1972–73 FA Cup finalist: 1972 Southampton Football League Division 2 runner-up: 1977–78 League Cup finalist: 1979 Vancouver NASL Soccer Bowl champion: 1979 NASL National Conference champion: 1979 NASL Western Division champion: 1979
  8. I think Alan Ball was Saints most successful player who became a manager and Lawrie Mac the worse but Lawrie was more successful than Bally as a Saint's Manager
  9. I think you are one of the best posters on here making really good points but sometimes you do seem to obsessed with particular issues first there was your love in with Jack Cork now the opposite with Matt Targett. I too have not been impressed with Matt but it is the policy of the club to bring through academy players and as an England U21 International he has been identified as a future PL player and will play if Bertrand is not available Surely he can only improve and if he does not and we buy in another LB what is the point of the Academy
  10. Managers get millions of pounds to manage football teams are you suggesting they are a waste of money and anybody could do the job. Some managers are better than others I am quite impressed with Mopo he did well with us and is doing well with Spurs as their League Position shows. Koeman seems OK when things go well but not when things go wrong and his tinkering with the team is not helping
  11. Surely we are not going to qualify for Europe or finish 7th this season so we will have gone backwards.
  12. I agree with this at the moment but can anyone convince me I am wrong
  13. John B

    2 more games

    Now
  14. So where is the money going have you checked the accounts because if you have not I doubt that you are correct
  15. Alan Curtis used to play for Saints I saw him score a wonder goal at the Milton Road End over thirty years ago
  16. It just shows having a numpty in charge with no real experience of running a business causes problems just like Osborne with the economy which is about to tank because of personal debt
  17. Are you suggesting that someone who cannot get into MK Dons team is going to be the answer to our goal scoring problems
  18. I agree with you but I thought the same in 1974
  19. Show a bit of ambition and get Pardew
  20. What on earth are you talking about SADOLDGIT like me is a realist and may realise that like me team sometimes endure bad runs something the Saints are doing now. Chelsea had a bad run and are now probably going to finish a lot higher than us. Our squad is pretty good with loads off to the euros in the Summer and it is up to RK to produce good results if not like Jose he will be receiving his P45
  21. Please can you explain how we are appalling run and have no ambition It is all well and good spouting hysterical nonsense and suggesting the way forward is to spend loads of somebody else's money. But the problem at the moment is we have a squad of pretty good players low in confidence not playing well and being inconsistent and we we have a manager who does not seem to be fully committed to the future. I know what I woould do - Tell RK to get his finger out as I am sure there are other managers who could get better results with the current squad
  22. Although I really like Ron I am not sure that he is that good a manager we never seem to score goals in the last 15 mins to alter the result of games Pardew and Pochettino seem to be better Our results over the last year have not been that outstanding following our great start to 2014.
  23. Totally agree we are at our level cannot ever see us breaking into the top 6 as those clubs have a bigger fanbase more TV money and more PL money hopefully for the foreseeable future we will be 8 to 12 in the league probably This bad patch will eventually end and I cannot see us in the Relegation Zone
  24. Why are you so agressive cant I have a point of view Just think he is a busted flush our results have been really poor for the last couple of months
  25. Really what is the point having a manager who does not want to be at SFC long term that is my point not bed wetting just being realistic
