I think most people agree with you but it is rather disappointing thats all Not sure if Koeman is good for us now as we struggle to bring youngsters through
-
We just dont have any consistent quality attacking players they are good but not outstanding So top 10 side is OK by me
-
You must be joking we are in 8th at the moment and likely finish there or worse We are just not a top six team
-
Sometimes the rub of the green goes with you sometimes it does not just accept the Ref's decision because there is no other choice and dont blame him. Refs probably make less wrong decisions than players and are usually close to the action

The good thing about the Terry Paine days was that we supported our players there was not the constant criticism when we lost which we did regularly especially away from home. If the other team scores more goals so what -

I wonder what Terry Paine would be worth today in my opinion a complete footballer who won so many games for SFC and with Chivers took us to Div 1 fifty years ago with that goal right in front of me at Brisbane Road -
Unfortunately the season has not ended yet lets see where we finish before we decide how well the club has done. I am not fckwit but can see that we are a better run club and have more financial clout than in the past thirty years so we should be hoping for better than we have had in the past for me the season has been a bit disappointing our Europe Adventure was poor we got thrashed when we were beaten in the League Cup and we lost in the third round of the FA Cup our League results have been generally OK away from home but not at St Mary's. Other clubs are progressing well so there is going to be more competition next season.

Why does RK keep tinkering with the team ?
-
I remember one game v Swansea at the Dell where George Kirby had caused havoc with three Swansea players down and receiving medical attention
-
I was at both Nottm Forest games at the Dell and White Hart Lane and the 6 0 thrashing of Middlesborough where Kirby scored a hat trick He was one of my all time favorite Saints players along with Osgood who did not play in that 1962 fixture he started playing for Chelsea in 1964 when I was at Uni in London he was a wonderful player despite breaking his leg badly
-
Well he thinks Forster is not as good as Hart and I agree with him Hart is probably the only World Class player in the England squad Mind you Forster is a pretty good deputy

I think Spurs are a big club the first English club to win a European trophy who have under performed for over thirty years Not unlike Chelsea and Man City who in my opinion are not as big a club as Spurs In my lifetime they have the following honours League First Division/Premier League Winners (2): 1950–51, 1960–61 Second Division/Championship Winners (1): 1949–50 Cup FA Cup Winners (6) 1960–61, 1961–62, 1966–67, 1980–81, 1981–82, 1990–91 League Cup Winners (4): 1970–71, 1972–73, 1998–99, 2007–08 European UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Winners (1): 1962–63 UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League Winners (2): 1971–72, 1983–84
-
I agree but if they dont win the League but qualify for the CL he still will have done a great job far better than I expected.
-
I think you make a good point and why would he want to move to Man U or Chelsea if Spurs are in the CL and they are not
-
We never seem to do well after a two week break hope we can do so in this game

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea City 0-1 SAINTS
John B replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Maybe something do with Liverpool's history in EUROPE -
I am surprised to see Jackson Bird in the Australian Test Team v NZ after his lack lustre performance with Hampshire
-
and to think he was loaned out to Essex last season he did bowl well for England A v Pakistan
-
Three red cards in one season surely deserves at least a five game ban cannot remember how many he has had whilst playing for Saints
-
You obviously have not read the Daily Mail Article Southampton will be without Victor Wanyama for six weeks after the FA confirmed his red card against West Ham will mean a five-match ban. It was the third time the 24-year-old midfield man had been sent off this season, adding two extra games to the three matches for his horror tackle on Dimitri Payet. and Window Cleaners Post http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56025-Post-Match-Reaction-SAINTS-1-0-West-Ham-United&p=2305687#post2305687 Clattenberg had already warned him at least twice...but he just couldn't control himself.
-
That is not true he has been banned for 6 weeks because he has already had 2 red cards and is irresponsible and loses his cool from time to time
-
One of the major problems with football is that managers do not respect referees nearly always blaming them when their teams loses so it is not surprising that players have no respect either Just compare this with Rugby where there is so much more respect and very much less gamemansship

I think you are talking about Bob Crowe who died recently but his union is not affiliated to the Labour Party In the 1960s the chap who was the union leader of the dockers in Southampton lived in a non council house next to us in Bitterne Manor
