and to think he was loaned out to Essex last season he did bowl well for England A v Pakistan

Three red cards in one season surely deserves at least a five game ban cannot remember how many he has had whilst playing for Saints
-
You obviously have not read the Daily Mail Article Southampton will be without Victor Wanyama for six weeks after the FA confirmed his red card against West Ham will mean a five-match ban. It was the third time the 24-year-old midfield man had been sent off this season, adding two extra games to the three matches for his horror tackle on Dimitri Payet. and Window Cleaners Post http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56025-Post-Match-Reaction-SAINTS-1-0-West-Ham-United&p=2305687#post2305687 Clattenberg had already warned him at least twice...but he just couldn't control himself.
-
That is not true he has been banned for 6 weeks because he has already had 2 red cards and is irresponsible and loses his cool from time to time
-
One of the major problems with football is that managers do not respect referees nearly always blaming them when their teams loses so it is not surprising that players have no respect either Just compare this with Rugby where there is so much more respect and very much less gamemansship
-
I think you are talking about Bob Crowe who died recently but his union is not affiliated to the Labour Party In the 1960s the chap who was the union leader of the dockers in Southampton lived in a non council house next to us in Bitterne Manor
-
Have you the evidence for this if so please can you post it because I doubt it is true

Saints v West Ham Build Up - Game now Saturday 6th Feb 1730

I doubt if sick note Austin will start -
Where Hunter was probably in the right then
-
No it was David Burnside
-
Surely a great mind like yours can see there is a possibility though very remote because of the above that West Ham could get in the CL if they do they will need extra players so they may have Mane on their list of possible new players I am sure that SFC also have a list which the Brentwood Gazzette or whatever it is called are not interested in because many of their readers are West Ham supporters
-
If they get in the Champions League they will have deep pockets so it is a possibility

I go and see Ipswich once a year when I visit a friend in Suffolk

Channon made his debut for Southampton as a 17-year-old in 1966, scoring in the match against Bristol City I was there
-
I agree not helped by them losing to Chelsea

Pretty incisive analysis

I think that our squad is possibly the best we have had for sometime now that we have Austin and Soares and Romeo Claise are starting to play well. The four summer signings have proved to be pretty shrewd signings the old hands Davis Long Wanyama Fonte Bertrand Tadic and Forster are playing pretty well and Targett and JWP are beginning to show more than promise I always thought we had a good squad and it is a shame we had such a bad run at the end of last year but the starting XI seems more settled now after RK's little tweaks
-
Yes it was a 'free header' but he was relaxed and composed when he headed it must admit I would have been upset if we had conceded it as no one was marking him but very good cross from the under estimated JWP
-
I would have been happy with a draw but delighted with the win perhaps the draw will come against Arsenal I wonder if Morgan regrets leaving us probably not as he earns loads more cash but if he was still with us we would probably be much higher in the table
-
I have read the article but I find this a rather strange comment
-
It has been pretty underwhelming to be honest poor European Campaign 6 1 defeat at home in League Cup out of FA Cup in third round poor home form in the League until the last two games. But of course we could easily finish 6th or 7th if we can continue to play well
-
Gold is only replying to West Ham Fans about the Austin deal as they were in for him at one time be nice if we could get Tweets from Ralph. I think Gold is right if we are paying 100000K a week it is not a bargain but we dont know what wages he is on like me Gold is only making a comment. He seems to be doing a good job at West Ham are probably did not go for Austin after the problems with injuries with Carroll

I think Alan Ball was Saints most successful player who became a manager and Lawrie Mac the worse but Lawrie was more successful than Bally as a Saint's Manager
