As the man with the wooden leg said ' It's just a matter of a pinion'🙂

An interesting debate on my original post which used details from a pal of mine who works in the betting industry. Just to confirm every game was given a value of 3 points and a % estimation of obtaining the winning margin was assessed which can vary in relation to the expected form of Saints and their opponents. All in all it is just a bit of fun.

Totally disgraceful and not particularly good news for our mate Rishi Sunak and his team.

Thats because traffic that previously used English and Welsh ports to transfer vehicles between the European mainland and the island of Ireland are now using expanded ferry routes linking Europe with the Irish Republic. Another significant disadvantage to Brexit to add to the millions 'Failing' Grayling lost in setting up Ferry services with a company who owned no ships.

Do Vestergard and Bertrand fall into the latter category😁?

Great credit to Saints for the way the team has dug in deep over two games against one of the best opponents that I can recollect in my many years of watching Saints. I thought the way City played, their passing, movement, control etc was exceptional. Another, often missed, part of their game was pressing and the fact that they chased after every dead ball to return it for goal kicks and throw ins etc to reduce dead time. What was nice about yesterday's performance was that a lot of 'neutral' supporters from other clubs enjoyed the game and reckoned we are a decent side.

There is always the problem of a 'skirmish' or worse as a consequence of Russian ambition to return to the previous boundaries of the Soviet Union. NATO is significantly dependent on the USA for military support so if this support wavers then western Europe will be weaken and more prone to Russian aggression. There is also the threat of the US having to deal with China's growing military power which is likely to lead to action against Taiwan. A military alliance between Russia and China, perhaps including North Korea and Iran would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Shocking Secret Climate Report by The Pentagon

Still we have the benefits of Brexit to contemplate!! -
A mate of mine shared some information on guessing point predictions based on the following detail which estimates % chance of getting a win from individual games :~ FIXTURE Total Pts. Chances of Winning. Est Pts. Total Pts Chances of Winning. Est Pts Man City (H) Burnley (A) 3 40% 1.2. Spurs (A) Man Utd (A) Brentford (A) 3 50% 1.5 Chelsea (H) Liverpool (H) Everton (H) 15. 10%. 1.5. Norwich (H) A Villa (A) Watford (H) Leeds (A) C Palace (H) Arsenal (H) Newcastle (H) Brighton (A) 15 60% 9 Leicester (A) 15. 30% 4.5 Games 17 Points Available 51 Expected Points 17.7 (Average 1.04 per game) Current Points 24 (Average 1.14 per game) Estimated Final Points 41/42 On this basis we should be safe for another year!!

A good friend of mine has a son, nice lad it has to be said but who prefers to get all his news from non mainstream sources. He is a covid denier and a supporter of Trump!! He told me that he is not going to get vaccinated due to the information he had from a range of unbiased (!!!!!!) sources. One of these is/was a GP based in Hampshire by the name of Dr Sam White. I looked him up. Fair play to him as he was a Partner in a practice in Hampshire, so he actually has some medical training. However he seems to have a different way of dealing with patients concentrating on holistic processes and, seemingly, non mainstream medical processes. As part of this he recommends people taking Hydroxychloroquine (as recommended by a certain Mr D Trump) and Ivermectin which I didnt realise was primarily a horse de-wormer and only recommended for human use in very small doses. Also it seems that a large percentage of major trials undertaken by reputable studies in respect of Ivermectin have shown serious errors or evidence of fraud. Interestingly only today news came out that inmates in Arkansas prisons are taking legal action about being given Ivermectin as treatment against Covid. Looking at 'Dr Sams' internet feed, he uses the word 'okay' more or less after every sentence which seems a bit strange for a man of learning. The other noticeable thing that came out of my research on Dr White was the reality that many people who follow his posts have no trust in standard medical treatments and at least one contributor to his feed believes those that those who chose to follow the majority of medical advice on the benefits of vaccination are 'Satanists' I find this completely at odds with my life as a fully vaccinated individual who has lived a very blameless life apart from my ongoing support of a sinful football club.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.
spyinthesky replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
Boris and his mates will abandon the Tory party and reform the 'Lets Go To a Party' party. This will go down well with a certain section of the population and he will return to power at the next election -
How can players turn out in senior teams for two different countries?

'You're shit and your shop went bust' has a ring to it but would be lost on the younger generation!! or 'You're just a shit London Borough by the busy M40' is probably too much of a mouthful!!

I much rather have either of our keepers that the Brentford chappie (and I realise he is not first choice) Also there are other 'keepers around in the Prem worse than our two. To my mind they are subject to a lot of unjustifiable criticism. That said neither of them are good at distribution.

Am I right to believe that we sold one of our youngsters, a central defender, onto Man City for a reported £1.5m earlier in the season? Separately has a fee been fixed for Thierry Small from Everton?

For those of us who thought Obefami might make the grade here would be pleased that the club managed to off load him for a couple of million. I thought he was bang on Championship level average, or a bit below, yesterday.

This 'meet' never seems to get mentioned in the Pompey 'Hard Man' stories. Any reason?

Still as that nice lady Edwina Currie recently said on a recent radio interview when asked four times what have been the main benefits of Brexit, she eventually said 'Freedom'!!! Wonderfully concise but absolutely useless reply.

Those of us long standing supporters will remember a time when challenges on Goalkeepers were allowed even if they were full on assaults. Reference our own George Kirby who used to terrorise opposing players (especially 'custodians' - Peter Grummitt in one particular game) and Nat Lofthouse of Bolton in a Cup Final in 1958 breaking Man Utd's Ray Wood's shoulder with one shoulder challenge with no subs in those days. Nowadays opposing players only have to breathe on a 'keeper to get a foul.

Re Angus Gunn. He has now let in 8 since returning to the Norwich team. Feel for him.

I would be very annoyed if a similar challenge on Lloris had been ruled out. However despite the decision and the offside against Kane went in our favour we deserved the result. Forster would have been murdered on here if the goal had stood but he played well otherwise. Big up to all the players and also the crowd. Saints supporters bossed that side of the game. That said, we do need more of a range of songs.

As an example, Brighton was shown at 30,000 but it is reckoned there were less than half as many in the ground as it is challenging getting to the Amex and the connecting train service was not running. Getting to the Taxpayers Stadium was also challenging.

Projected chaos between us and the EU from 1st January as this is the date when more complicated paperwork is required to import/export goods. No doubt Liz Truss will sort it out when she is off the phone to Putin telling him of the dire consequences faced by Russia if Ukraine is invaded. 2022 is already looking good!!

Badger Thank you for putting me right on this. I hadnt thought about the saline solution scenario Do you think this may have been an antidote to the bleach Donnie boy has been drinking?

But it is not just Boris but more or less every Govt in the world is jumping to get their countrymen, women and others vaccinated. So a massive world wide conspiracy including politicians, scientists and medical professionals. One hell of a conspiracy when we are unable to get agreement on a simple thing like Brexit.
