Well sod him then, we didn't want him anyway.;)

Perhaps Claude just didn't fancy another year, being pressured from all sides to change the way his side plays. I mean there's not a lot of jobs that don't really suit you that you can just walk away from with a pay off are there. I doubt that anyone even knows the real figures but the sums paid to sacked UK football managers these last few years must be pretty astronomic.

Fashionable where exactly ? Oh right Germany, where of course their league champions are coached by an Italian who took over from a Spaniard. Yep got it...
-
Not for genuine international call-ups no. Just idiotic representative matches at the same time as Championship games. Although..................

If you want Laurent Blanc, which incidentally is a fair old idea, then we need to get those rich Chinese in ASAP. He's a 200K a week man, or at least he was at PSG. As they had to give him a pay off of some 20 million £, then they may still have some sort of control over any future employment during the period for which they had to stump up.

China I think.

But their owner has real money, plus they have players who they know are going to be sold. Everton need to get on with their transfers anyway as they start their EL campaign at the end of July. Their players must be back there in a fortnight I suppose. -
I trust you jest sir..

A player who's never realised the promise he showed as a teenager. Aren't they looking at Sandro Ramirez from Malaga as well? -
Confusing isn't it. Still it's a traditional Saints summer. Don't really care myself, we've had about 5 managers in 8 years and we seem to be going along in an alright way. It's the players that make the team anyway. We'll get someone in and depending on whether he plays brilliant, dazzling football or a serial drudge but obtains roughly the same league position, he'll either want away for a "bigger" club or be sacked within 2 seasons.

So today Ranieri at Nantes and Oscar Garcia at St Etienne. Can't see any worthwhile job available for Puel in France just now. Good job he got the Saint's pay off eh ! Wouldn't be surprised to see him somewhere else in England though, team that puts winning above amusing the public perhaps.

Who knows if Tuchel was really our first choice. I thought that the only real ITKs here were hinting at a German but other than Tuchel. As far as I can understand Tuchel was sacked by Dortmund for being a bit of a knob on a semi-permanent basis. Don't know if that would make him a top of the list candidate for us really.

Perhaps he just doesn't fancy getting slagged off on the internet when he doesn't play the ful first XI in a League Cup first rounder against some 3rd division minnows.

I think Arsenal have earmarked Jardim from Monaco. Next big star of the management market. With Monaco selling off anything that isn't bolted down just now, Jardim will probably be looking to move on in a while.

Hmm Premier League playing in the ECL, West Ham it is then.

Oh yes they do mean something. They mean that idiots have taken a punt on something about which they know absolutely sod all in the vain hope of some easy money.

Really ? Although as they've just spent 35 million or so on Tolisso I'd not accuse them of having more sense than money. Tolisso is really, really average. Still they've got previous I suppose, last summer they blew about 30 million on Sanches only to discover that he was just so overated that it's hardly possible. -

If he's available for 10 million he'll not have to go far, Everton will snap him up at that price, even Liverpool. I'd think that for a player of his quality we'll be way down the pecking order, probably even behind West Ham. -
I'd think the safest bet on our next manager would be him getting sacked or have moved on before the start of the 2018/19 season.
-
What's the obsession with German managers then? Don't really get that. Klopp was supposed to be the bee's nuts but although he's OK he's not really pulling up any trees with the dippers is he. They are so erratic despite the truckloads of money that they've spent.

Let me straighten you out, you do not want to touch Nasri with a bargepole. Horrid little man who causes problems everywhere he goes. -
But Pochettino is an exceptional coach and he had what was probably one of the best sides that we've ever had apart from a kickass striker that is. If we'd had say Harry Kane at time I'm sure that we could have finished on the heels of the top 4. Could have even been different had JRod stayed upright.

It probably is yes. I sometimes think that the "board" and a fair old percentage of the fans are totally deluded over the quality of our squad. We've spent a fair old bit on total non entities these last times.
-
And they got well over 50% of the votes actually cast. But t'was basically a 2 party system then, Libs were around 3% and the odds and bods and nationalists of all kinds probably didn't get 1% of the total vote between them.

Logic does not always apply when trying to shàg a bit of strange. reason tells you to give it a miss, your friends and colleagues tell you to give a miss but you still do it anyway. Well at least you did when I was a young man.
