  1. Tried that, after a week nothing had actually happened. Think 2 or 3 months is required.
  2. In that case did we throw the other 20 games we lost as well ? Plus the 16 we draw when we could have won.
  3. I prefer Dante Culpepper, well as long as we're not judging quarterbacks anyway.
  4. John just till the end of June anyway,Rasiak for as long as it takes I suppose. What's the word on the street regarding selling him to Watford?? or anyone else for that matter.
  5. Sounds like he is just a plastic sheriff's star in the cornflakes packet.
  6. More natural wastage that will probably do well enough elsewhere. Bitterly miffed about BWP and Euell not being kicked up the ass and down the road. All is not yet lost on that front of course because they're out of contract and may well move on anyway.Would have preferred something more definite on that front though.See Stern John is back to stick his snout in the ever diminishing trough for 2 more months,I suppose Rasiak will be back to do the same again soon.
  7. Nah Uncle Leon will just pay everybody again. After all he must be involved in one of the bids so it's no great shakes. He just can't leave it alone. Then there's the match on 17th May, finely calculated to get in cash to pay the salaries again. What happens to the catering section with lots of summer weddings and the like already lined up. They won't cancel them so there must be money to pay at least the catering staff and make sure the bailiffs haven't chained the suite doors.
  8. One instalment for add ons due to appearances.I think we paid 275K up front if you can believe that. It transpires more and more that a lot of the "raw material" for the academy was actually bought in in the semi-finished state. No wonder we're skint if we were paying 250K here there and everywhere for lads who didn't make it. The academy looks more and more to be very much hit and miss, for every player who really makes the grade 4 or 5 don't seem to.
  9. 500K? you're joking right. We paid 275K for him and he scored a few goals. If we take 500K for McG we must be either desperate or selling the whole shebang and starting from scratch.
  10. Lancashire is a bit slow and cumbersome to pay at right back, will give away even more penalties if faced with speedy wingmen. Lancashire should be offloaded to Eastleigh or Bournemouth or something.
  11. Doubt if we'll get Saeijs to be honest. He will get other offers long before we get around to doing anything. He'll have gone back to Roda now and will soon forget all about us..
  12. What we need is an immediate solution before all the money people usually spend on STs goes on an extra holiday or a set of go-faster stripes for the Austin Maxi. The clock has been ticking for too long, asses have to be got into gear. The longer it goes on the more likely we are to have an unsuitable solution. We shall see.
  13. We can but wait then, hopefully this is something serious and not just an Nieme waste of time..
  14. Being the operative phrase of course. I read that as not yet being sure of having the money to get the job done and frankly I don't like that. There's a real bid in place apparently, let all the rest put up or shut up and let us get on with repairing the club.
  15. Here's one for you. In my opinion Le Tissier will never be chairman of SFC nor a board member. It won't happen.
  16. So then to sum up 11 pages of mass hysteria and wild speculation: Nothing is definitely happening but we haven't yet gone out of existence either. Is that about right ?
  17. That's because town halls, regional councils and county councils throughout France and Navarre cough up swans as a public service, even to clubs with giant budgets like Marseille and Lyon. Imagine SCC giving us a couple of million £ and letting us play for free in a city owned stadium, 10£ would be very doable under those circumstances.
  18. Don't know about that.the TFC got him from Lorient where he'd not been doing much for a while.Anyway he's a southern lad and the rain and cold of Brittany would p*ss him off big time. Yer average mediterranean dude doesn't export particularly well to the frozen septentrional wastes.
  19. There's always one isn't there.
  20. Schneiderlin is talent personified, whether he can express it usefully in Saints system is another matter.I've seen him for France U19s and he is good, but he requires movement around him, as does any continental european midfielder. I'd say honestly he is wasted on Saints. Did you see Gignac Um? what do you think?
  21. One bid, all the rest is hypothetical. Hope the one bid we have isn't withdrawn and is for a reasonable amount. Can't see that we're getting anywhere fast and I'm afraid the bid may be for peanuts, less than players can be sold for in the immediate future.
  22. Whether it was made up or not is immaterial, it drove the share price up to ridiculous heights and some people made a handsome profit, others weren't so lucky. It has always amazed me that the SEC didn't investigate that,as people said "it is Paul Allen" in the local rag and caused people to lose money. With hindsight you'd have to surmise that the price was artificially driven up and the bid situation declaration to the LSE only made it worse. Yet the bloke denied it at every turn, through Vulcan and then personally (I think)
  23. Schneiderlin is a creative midfielder, whether he was played as one is a completely different matter.
  24. What for and by who? We are currently in admin with no visible means of support, why would they be asking old kitmen who are receiving a pension to return? Doesn't make sense. Once you retire that's it,you can't go back full time as far as I know. Sounds like bollax tbh.
  25. That's what I was thinking actually, we suspect (cos they've never been published) that the half year accounts would have shown another operating loss of 3+ million, yet we reduced our overdraft (probably a bit of + on player trading though cos we got a handout from the UEFA and an add on from Crouch amongst other things) But we got extra cash from Aviva,so they aren't going to let it go at a Marcus Evans type deal.Anyway the 32 million for 7 million won't apply to us because the debt isn't old enough to have generated income for them.Strange case Ipswich, in 2003 on exiting admin they had 35 million of debt wiped out, when Evans took over in 2007 they had apparently "recreated" 32 million of debt. Doesn't add up really, doubt if they really owed 32 million when he stepped in unless it was old debt renegociated in 2003.
