  1. I'd not be surprised to see Oxlade-Chamberlain not included actually, he's playing very poorly just now, although that doesn't seem to be a handicap for an England selection as a rule. Think it will be 2 of AOC,Sterling and Townsend, not all 3.
  2. No doubt, all these new rules and regulations seem to be so easily circumnavigated. Looked up the HG rule for the PL the other day and noticed to my surprise that 8 HG players in any 25 man PL senior squad is by no means set in stone, it's just that non-HG over 21s are limited to 17 that's all . Couldn't quite understand before just how Chelsea,Citeh and Arsenal were managing that. So with 17 foreign senior players and a few foreign U21s they have got round the rule that was supposed to guarantee the future of British football extremely easily.
  3. I'd hope that eventually FIFA will put a stop to this hoovering up of young talent by a few clubs because eventually it will create a sort of cartel where just a few decide who plays and who doesn't. Chelsea must have a side as good as many PL teams out on loan at this time. They probably have 30 or so players for whom they have no real use whatsoever.
  4. No because Thai military radar tracked an (unknown) aircraft from MH370s last known position heading SW. In theory they tracked it until it disappeared from their screens until 02.40 local time, ie they watched it pass over for over an hour. It is well possible that the Thai have some sort of OTH radar network that they don't want to own up about. Malaysian military radar also tracked an unknown and unidentified aircraft along a similar heading up until about 02.14 local time. So unless there were 2 unidentified aircraft swanning about in that zone on that night the plane didn't go out over the Pacific or China sea
  5. Can't rule it out completely though. Welbeck still has about 10 matches to get through. All of our hopefuls will need to turn in a good performance next Saturday though.
  6. It's nothing to do with the aircraft's speed really. The Inmarsat satellite in question moves about very slightly rather than be completely geostationary. Comparison of these movements and Doppler effects from the "pings" correspond more to moving south rather than north. When compared to other aircraft moving south they are similar, when compared to other aircraft moving north they are at variance. Thus the aircraft must have been moving south, that's all you can tell from the Doppler comparisons. What I might feel inclined to question is the arc that they've established because that is based on basic trigonometry and would only be correct if the aircraft maintained a constant speed and course. Think they're looking far too far south myself, mind you the 20000 million tons of junk in the Indian Ocean really doesn't help.
  7. Ricardo I think and he is bloody good, better than Shaw now, maybe not when Shaw is 21 though. Great crosser, lovely free kick artist.
  8. Far too good for a pile of crap like Wolfsburg that's for sure.
  9. Well that's a crock for a start Kurt Zouma is a CB not a RB. NB Rabiot is crap.
  10. So we're off with a 2 day friendly against Middlesex who are now 131-1 at lunch. Hope we get at least some batting practice before Sunday's CC game with Worcs.
  11. Well in that case Luke's haircut must be about Hampshire League standard.
  12. Best left back in the world ?? I couldn't say but I saw a young bloke play for the Swiss national side a while back and he as good, bloody good, far better than Shaw in his current state. Strange name for a Swiss though, Rodriguez, think he plays in Germany somewhere.
  13. Good article ?? It's total ******. I mean "was the plane weaponised", must be one of these blokes who goes around with tin foil on his head.
  14. Pray do enlighten us upstanding citizens who are not familiar with the carceral system.
  15. Err the Doppler analysis only decided between North and South, absolutely nothing else. I understand that the rest was just basic trig and fuel consumption analysis. Still think they're looking in the wrong place myself. The Jindalee system can in theory pick up a Cessna at 3000 km and so in the position that the search is being based on the aircraft should have shown up on that system.
  16. I've noticed that all the club's staff seem to get 2 STs included in their package now. So with about 250 staff that makes 500STs or so, do you think that they count those or just paying customers ?
  17. Only saw the second half but that was enough to know we played really well.
  18. Mind you 2134£ is really chicken feed in the benefit fraud stakes.
  19. Botched hijacking is a far easier explanation.
  20. Stoke are going to Warrior kit anyway, here's what it looks like.
  21. Not really, the (Thai) radar showed that the aircraft was following a course along established waypoints Vampi, Gival, Igrex which are way way off where it should have been going. After that contact was lost but the aircraft is thought to have turned hard south. Everything points to deliberate actions by the person flying the aircraft. If the aircraft was in difficulty it would have been jettisoning fuel over the sea right ? Don't think that happened either.
  22. Doesn't explain the turns or altitude changes.
  23. Plus 3 weeks of drift, any light wreckage spotted now could easily be anything up to 500 nautic from the actual crash site. Once some recognisable wreckage is found then they'd have to plot back for the time elapsed to determine probably crash sites. Think the prevailing surface currents down that way are WSW->ENE so any debris should be moving towards the Australian coast line.
  24. An enhanced imagery satellite can distinguish a number plate on a car yes, but that's military hardware and they don't use them to find out what happened to dead people. Plus from what I remember they're all in much lower sun synchronous orbits.
  25. Total f*ck up, where they're looking now the JORN system should have seen it, can't remember the cost of that, several billion aussie dollars I think. They'll say they weren't looking in that direction at that time which probably means that you could hit Perth with an ICBM an d they wouldn't even know about it. A multi billion dollar radar system being used to spot illegal immigrants...yeah right.
