  1. Have they cut all the MOs in the Navy then DD? Perhaps they only do clap and gunshot wounds these days though.
  2. Doesn't matter anyway, we'll have signed the Nookie Monster from Malta by then.Should see us through the pre-season and the first few games until Barnard gets out .
  3. Back in play, looks like we're getting swamped a bit though. 233/5, more than 100 runs in about an hour. 18 no-balls,17 byes, 7 leg byes.
  4. Will he play for us again then?
  5. Ah well back to the drawing board.
  6. Who knows, we signed Ali Dia and the TinMan didn't we.
  7. what "recent exclusive" would that be then? Surely not that Nigerian wallah?.
  8. I can do that, you'll have to let me know what to do though.
  9. Did George Weah recommend him to us?
  10. The result against Brighton will very much depend on what side we have available. If we put out a side similar to that of Tuesday last a defeat will ensue. If we have something like our first XI available we have every chance of a win.
  11. if only they could win at home on a regular basis though. A bit enigmatic the Gas of late, still they need a result and I hope we don't help them out unintentionally. Can't see it though.
  12. Not sure that I should comment here but as there's not a 'just seen the highlights" thread here you go. I thought (from the 6 or so minutes available) that our whole back 4 looked a total liability in the first half,Rochdale could have had 5 or 6.Richardson was awful from the outset and in the move leading up to their first goal Fonte and Jaidi must be training for some local "how many can stand on a sixpence" contest.Harding obviously can't jump because of his injury and it looks like the Dale player is holding his arm anyway.Never mind because the Dale striker should have sunk the one a few minutes before when Fonte and Jaidi let him just walk through the middle of them (Kelvin saved with his legs)
  13. How about 218?
  14. From the short written preview on the OS we learn that Chaplow could be back in the frame for Saturday and that Morgan and Ox are on the point of stepping up their comebacks whatever that means. We shall see on the video later on who's actually doing what.
  15. The diamond works if the players are able to operate it. I suggest that Tuesday's defeat was more down to the players we had on the pitch than the formation used. Apparently Harding looked way way off of full fitness from the start. If we had started Dickson at left back with someone else in midfield it may have been better. Strange decision to start an unfit player though.
  16. Ah sod it, our top order has just collapsed, we've gone from about 90 without loss to 104/4. 3 wickets in successive balls (not a hat-trick though, over changed) Knew it was too good a start to be true as they put us in.
  17. 53 without loss, just the sort of steady start I like to see early in the season, strike rate of about 3.6/over.
  18. £3 for a pint??? I'd complain out of principle. Used to be able to get a nice pint of mild and 20 Number 6 for less than 4 bob.:smug:
  19. where will he go?
  20. Not sure that he's had any surgery, don't usually for medial ligament injuries,I'm not an expert though, cruciates usually need reconstruction, medials less so.There was a piece about him again in the DNA the other day, didn't mention any surgery.
  21. I think Morgan's main problem at the moment is changing direction, typical of medial ligament injuries. Most of them are cause by skiing, especially when you're crap at it.He can run in a straight line, accelerate and slow down but changing direction rapidly probably isn't on. No idea as to where the deep vein thrombosis could have come from, too many kicks in the calf maybe.
  22. I thought I caught sight of him playing in the practice game on one of the build up videos, probably the one before the Rochdale game, seemed to be just young players and first team reserves though.
  23. But why would we lose against Bristol Rovers? Last night's performance is just a blip due to an excessive number of injuries and probably not getting it quite right at the start.
  24. It's probably a case of the players not operating the formation correctly rather than the formation itself not working.
  25. Never mind we had a bit of an error margin, didn't like the look of the side anyway. Too many injuries.
