  1. Probably not the wifi at fault, just the connection, must be still on non-degroupé in VT...2 mega max for everyone to share. A couple of kids playing MMRG online will fùck it up for everybody.
  2. I watched a bit of Texans/Detroit on ESPN...how anyone would actually pay to to watch a game like that defies all logic. Must all be completely brainwashed. 2 home runs in the 7th for the Texans and absolutely nothing else.
  3. Surman and Ward were both good captures though, keeper came from Everton.Think there is another one who came from a prem club,it was good recruitment,no idea how much it cost though...not a lot perhaps.
  4. Norwich changed quite a lot actually.About 5 or 6 players I think. Last time I looked there were 3 of the promotion side in their starting XI.
  5. Looks like a whole day of batting practice then, probably imposed by the batting coach after some of Saturday's shots.
  6. We need 490 to win but have made a decent start at 87 with loss leaving us another 403 to get tomorrow, what a start to the season that would be, still better not count on it I suppose. What's the minimum number of overs in a day nowadays? I guess if it's 90 odd and we bat sensibly it could happen.
  7. No not wiped clean but they now have the rest of the season (7 matches then) to not get 15 bookings. In theory if Deano got booked in each of the next 6 he could be suspended for the last game and I suppose the first game of next season.
  8. It's not whether the formation works or not,it's more about who's operating in it.
  9. I didn't get anything at all
  10. Wouldn't be outrageously unpleased if we only get a draw. This is a tough game and we are diminished.
  11. Well yes, all Abramovitch's money has brought them many plastic supporters. I remember back in 2003 when he bought them out and started buying expensive players people suddenly became Chelsea "fans".
  12. Most of them would probably simply lose interest anyway.
  13. But then again with us needing 324 to avoid the follow on and with a 0% chance of winning you'd think that our batting might be a bit more circumspect wouldn't you.I mean Myburgh's innings was probably a great little cameo to watch but this is 4 day cricket and you don't forcibly need to hit every other ball for 4.We needed to get to around 100 without loss, unfortunately we're 2 for 55 as the aussies say.Hopefully MacKenzie will know what's required and come to our rescue once again.
  14. Must be a really, really, great batting track....Adams gone first ball.
  15. One was John Stonehouse's mum...............
  16. He'll be lucky to find even any slush if he's not above 2000 metres. Was in Grenoble yesterday 28°C in the shade. Nearly collapsed from heatstroke whilst out running this morning, must be 25°C already and we're at 650 metres.
  17. Durham 413/6 at the close, not a particularly auspicious start to the season then. Our lack of a really fast bowler is going to be problematic all season long again. Briggs 4/127 but that's just buying wickets.
  18. I suspect that we may have a bit of a rough ride tomorrow but it just doesn't matter any more. We'll get promoted but there will be no doubt much hand wringing and hair tugging if we don't win all our remaining games. We'll be really lucky to get 4 points from our next 2.
  19. Perhaps it's like the USS Alabama, someone wanted to nuke some rogue nation and the other didn't. On the other hand it's more likely about some tart or other because most seemingly inexplicable acts are.
  20. You'd have to hope so because we'll be looking for 400+ to stay out of trouble I expect.
  21. Shame, why don't you have a forum match but not at SMS? How much do they charge for Staplewood or even Notarf Krap. Always thought that the cost was excessive......but then most things are when they've anything to do with Saints these days.
  22. I remember last year's opening match !! Our inability to take wickets is a real concern.Almost cost us our place in Div 1 last season. edit .... at last 84/1.
  23. Briggs getting tonked 83/0....here we go again
  24. We are beginning to really need a wicket, Durham past 50 without loss, only championship game without a wicket so far.
  25. It really doesn't matter any more, we will obtain the 15 points we need for automatic promotion anyway. What the others do is of little import.
