Now it would appear that the insurgent rabble defied the "no fly zone" and then shot down their own plane. It's just much ado about nothing, I remember how it was in Lebanon in the 80s, just a lot of unruly riff-raff shooting at anything and everything.Gaddafi is a nut job and always has been, I've come across various Italians who were summarily kicked out of Libya in the 70s and there are some sad sad stories there. We should have done something about him years ago when he was sponsoring wholesale terrorism and backing any sort of godbotherers and other assorted nutjobs with arms, facilities and immunity. However it's not a few idiots with AK47s and RPGs who are going to solve the problem for us.

I don't doubt that he believes that the players we have should be able to step up and secure promotion any way. If that shouldn't happen then I guess he has every right to moan,as do we.There are no suspension other than Gobern for the time being.Deano and Chappers still have an error margin and we have no idea where we are with Morgan (some info might be useful there then) Even if Deano should get booked today and again on Tuesday(which he won't) it might not be the end of the world because we have options to cover that if necessary. We might still get a loan player in anyway, just probably won't be Howard.

aap3 are the New Sponsor thread...

It's not a great deal compared to past sponsors apparently,I don't know, perhaps the figure isn't right anyway. FP put up quite a lot of money for naming rights and sponsorship, £3/£4 million something like that over about 4 years. -

Although if you believe sources quoted on the Ugly we're not making a great deal out of it. About 190K£ a year. Then again I have no idea as to the validity of the source. -
And you can surmise all that because we don't take 1 player who we don't forcibly need on loan for 12 matches? It would be a waste of money,we have 20+ players on professional contracts including some who are no doubt highly paid for the division we play in. I'm not Cortese's biggest fan but that's rubbish.

What did I say in the first place...em should have nuked the bastards when we had a chance...no change of opinion then. Perhaps we could just winch up a few overheating fuel rods from Fukushima and dump them on Tripoli , two birds with one stone.

We're in League 1 no-one looks mightily impressive game in game out.Probably because half of the teams have no cash, no fans, no ambition and zero decent players. Yet we have to go out there and face them, get kicked, bear hugged, wrestled to the ground and then probably booked or sent off for retaliating ever so slightly.Leeds proved that when you finally get out of this shîte league you can do better things with much the same squad if they have any sort of ability. We have shown how good we can be on occasions but the opposition drags us down to their level as oftenas not. Look at the card count for sides like MK Dons, violent play is obviously inherent in their system yet they're 6th in the league.

which is why I said Glasgow jests.500K/annum is a bit below 10K/week.
-
Does it ever stop?
-
In Tabb, Karakan and Leigertwood they have all they need for their remaining 9 or 10 games this season; Tabb has just signed on for another 2 years or so and they're probably looking to offload Howard and hope they can get QPR to sell them Leigertwood for next season.
-
Glasgow jests I think, he said 40K yesterday. I really really doubt if we have a single player who is paid in excess of 500K per annum in basic salary. I'd think that bonuses included the best paid amongst them are on 450K/annum.

If we don't get promotion...well then I guess we'll be rolling in shedloads of cash due to the sale of Ox,Fonte,Morgan,Rickie and Adam to name but a few. Mark my words if we fail to accede to the level above not one of them will be here come August. Only Morgan is injured and we have a bit part player suspended, we have all the players we need to finish off our campaign.
-
Perhaps we haven't got any money? I'm sure that we'll have whatever is required in the close season for our campaign in the NPC.
-
Surely not, why would a "rich club" such as SFC be money grubbing like that.
-
I know, lets have another "Taxi for Guly" thread, should make sure of 210% improvement.

And even then it would depend on how he gets on with ginger rottweilers biting his ankles for 90 minutes every Saturday and Tuesday from August to May.League 1 is terrible and most players wouldn't want to be in it if they're anywhere near good enough to play higher up.

Charlton have got a new keeper on loan to replace the one they had on loan from Fulham, hope that doesn't make them instantly better then. -
But Bournemouth were shyte anyway so it didn't matter.I watched the Full 90( some of those flat camera angles are a bit nauseabond though).

Chaplow is playing a role that he doesn't get on with. He's an offensive minded player and not a ball winner/water carrier. His 7 yellows in 20 or so games just show that his tackling is woeful or at best badly judged, his close control is suspect as well because he immediately seeks to move the ball forward rather than having an instant look about and choosing the best option. He's a great little player but offensively and we're already over flush on that with Ox and Adam. When he's with Morgan it's compensated because Morgan always knows what's happening around him and can compensate Chappers advanced style but Hammond although doing well in his own role isn't aware enough to cover for Chappers offensive penchants.

CMS is 2 million plus up to 1 million add-ons (or if you believe the Norwich chairman anyway).

Solution to all TV problems for Saturday...go to the game if you're within reasonable distance of SMS. Cost £22 and you'll spend nearly that in the Pub anyway. If I was anywhere near SMS (say 100km or so ) I'd prefer going to games than sitting about in pubs.

If results up to then have gone our way we might write off the Brighton game unless we can catch them.Unless Morgan is fit again I doubt that it's winnable anyway. -
Orient will be focused on just on thing, making the play-offs. They're on 56 from 33 and probably need another 24 points from the 13 games they have left. They'll concentrate on the winnable games and manage their squad as best they can because they're going to play a 2 games every 7 days from here on.They may even write off games they see as unwinnable, it's been known in the past.

Players like Morgan don't grow on trees and cost a lot of money;I know nothing whatsoever about Frimpong but his lack of league experience in a vital role at this stage might well be a bit of a handicap. We saw this with Gobern last week, full of enthusiasm and no doubt knows what needs to be done but a big red 0/10 for knowing how to go about it.We have what we need if neither of them gets injured or suspended, most of the opposition we have from here in won't need anything more and we can afford to lose 2 even 3.
