  1. Did you notice that the French didn't all have the same shirt? Some had those which looked as if they're wearing some sort of black harness and some just had the same shirt but without that mark . I'm sure that must be against some rule or other. Anyway they should never have gone to the WC with Domenech, no matter how much it cost to buy him out last year they should have just coughed up and had done with it. Any bloke who thinks that Abidal (a left back) is a better central defender than Mexes is just plain loony bin mad.
  2. What's happening on the pre-season front? Is there going to be one,I suppose the players will be reporting back sometime soon as well.
  3. Domenech negates everything, he is a stupid, stubborn donkey brained knob who has binkies and has left better players on the beaches to play them. Rama Yade was right, he should have been removed after the Euro 2008 but the FFF couldn't afford it.Him keeping Govou in the side (or even in the group of 23) and leaving better players behind just shows what an idiot he is.
  4. And as player recruitment seems decidely slow (not that we need a great deal really, just a right back and a competent midfield replacement when necessary) I'm a bit concerned that what we get by way of players might just depend on ST sales numbers.
  5. if you want to re-introduce formless, amelodic noise to football grounds again why not bring back the old fashioned wooden rattle,I'm sure they could be fashioned our of kevlar nowadays to make them indestructible.
  6. he might do Ok actually, he's better when there's no money to waste on *****wit players with big reputations and serious attitude problems.
  7. Anyway his Mum probably wants him home for tea every day
  8. Anyway, I really doubt that we'll be falling over ourselves to sign Papa, nowhere near sharp enough in front of goal on a consistent basis, scored a few, missed a whole lot more easy ones, like against Skate. There is no doubt more suitable which comes cheaper and more easily.
  9. German invention though, didn't seem to put them off, must all be genetically programmed not to hear the f*cking things
  10. Far too many draws and not enough goals. I've taken to watching the games with the sound muted, those f*cking vuvuzelas are ruining the competition.Plus it's cold and usually p*ssing down with rain should have given it to Morrocco, at least it would be sunny and trumpetless.
  11. Because he said so in a quote a while back, think I posted it up on this very forum, mind you it was in a Francophone Senagalese newspaper.
  12. because a couple of those dead ball kicks of his and the occasional nod down is all it takes to be worth a 2 million £ punt in the EPL; worse players than Rickie have been signed for far more than he would command. Like Surman for example.
  13. I thought that was called Ireland;)
  14. but he wants to play, if it's to hang around on the bench he might as well go for the status of an EPL bench at Wolves, he has a contract he doesn't have to leave them.
  15. I don't think Morgan is going anywhere though, that's the very thing. Surman played left midfield most of the time when he wasn't playing left back, AP isn't going to drop either Lallana or Puncheon for him, doubt if Wolves will get many offers for him really, a free maybe to Bournemouth or Brentford or something, bloke just hasn't played enough football
  16. I ask again to do what exactly ? really don't see a slot for him in our side next season, Schneiderlin is by far a superior player and Lallana and Puncheon have the ooomph that Surman doesn't, that leaves Hammond's spot and I don't see Surman in his place in CM, someone else maybe but not Surman.
  17. Surman doesn't want to be 3rd or 4th choice, there's a difference in emphasis in "didn't and doesn't"
  18. StE aren't all that great, the only reason I could see for Morgan to go there is because he has been told by Mombaerts that he'd be in line for a call up for the Bleuets for their Euro 2011 campaign if he gets a "better standard of football". He had a very fair tournament at Toulon and it's obvious that he creates time with his play allowing others smart enough to see it the time to get into good positions to receive what invariably looks a very simple pass but which is only feasable because of the time gained in the first place. I'm reasonably sure that he'll stay with us though, what AP doesn't need to do though is start f*cking him about with an any 4 from 6 midfielders policy,
  19. Didn't SLH have their own financial arm? a wholly owned subsidary I seem to remember.
  20. Is this the smug I don't need an instalment plan and have got my ST thread?:smt105
  21. Debit card payments cost a fair amount in handling charges and a small percentage fee. It can cost a business up to 2% to accept debit card transactions each time plus a base charge. For 6 £50 DC shots it may well cost £10 or £15 in fees etc but they're not allowed to pass them on, it has to be in the basic price.Perhaps someone who actually accepts D Card transactions could give us the real figure?
  22. But the club aren't registered for financial services, that's no doubt part of the problem. I don't think you can take people's money in saving's schemes unless you're a registered financial services provider. Neither can you provide credit, so it all has to go through outside agencies and so costs money. There are 2 main FSP in football Premium Credit and Zebra Finance, they charge a lot of money for ST instalment schemes.
  23. Jason, just to put you straight, Markus Liebherr's companies are market leaders in common Rail Diesel technology,he doesn't make fridges, freezers or cranes. Doubt if he sell CDTI technology to Tesco's either.I have a TDCI engined car, it runs on about 3.2 litres of diesel per 100km, that's fantastic technology, but I doubt Markus gave it to Volkswagen for free.
  24. and yet they think nothing of spending what £150/£200 for a day out at Wembley, that is what has driven this price hike and one off payment plan. People took wives, girlfriends, kids, grannies and aged aunties with no thought of the cost or of other fans who were deprived of tickets, cost of 2 tickets even at £34=£68, transport another what say £30,meals, booze, gear etc say another £40, so fans blew stacks of cash on 1 day out, and now they moan because there is no easy payment plan, too much swagger and Falstaffian behaviour and now we've got what we deserved.
