  1. it will be sufficient for automatic promotion, the rest is just icing on the gateau
  2. Obviously we won't win every game, there will be other good sides as well but I'd think 27 wins,12 draws and 5 losses was about absolute minimum.
  3. I am confident that it will be so but I just can't stand bad sides like today's, smacks of Loweism, Mills and James should be nowhere near a first team start when the starters are fit and able/ I prefer Wotton to James
  4. Not really, next season will be different, I'd think we'll win 8 or 9 out of our first 10 games. We have a good side, unfortunately not much of it was on the field in the first half today. AP has just said that next season must be different, blames some of the players today but not Martin..my what a surprise. Good interview though..
  5. Strongest team on the field next week, need to be guarded about that sort of statement when you've just lost to a side in a relegation battle, hope that doesn't come back to bite us in the arse. You always have to field your strongest available side..it's an obligation.
  6. But we're ahead on GD so I guess that's OK eh
  7. Papa replaced Barnard
  8. But in a changed formation to accommodate those that aren't. Balance and being familiar with the man next to you are all important. As you say it matters not to us but doesn't make me like it any more, I'm a 100% at all times sort of guy, especially when the manager has gone on about it the week before. Ooh wait up, we've pulled 1 back.
  9. Course he is and there will probably be an official protest, not that it will come to anything, but we have taken the p*ss and they'll get snotty about it.
  10. At least I'm not alone then,; It doesn't really matter but AP speaks of respecting other sides all the time and yet he comes up with a dopey trick like this. Plus we have 3000 fans at Gillingham and we "respect" them with a side like this.
  11. But he came on as a lateish sub, that's the thing to do, not start him in a side with a weak midfield.
  12. No but there's a time and a place for every player to make his Football League debut and it probably wasn't today. I expect better from SFC, this smacks of a Rupert Lowe cheap trick. We are gifting Gillingham the points and that's just not on.
  13. He's probably really ****ed off that he plays and seaborne sits, when Seaborne would have been on his right side and Fonté has had to move over to the "wrong" side to accommodate a non-league hopeful.
  14. We have serious professionals in our squad, they should play not some non-league hotshot.Just can't understand that sort of decision. To me players like Martin have nothing to do with a side like SFC,never played a League game as far as I know..
  15. yes, totally expected of course so no one bothered to be precise about it.
  16. which is what I said in the pre-match, we have deliberately fielded a weakened side in a match affecting relegation. Commentator now picking up on this point. Now saying Fonté is less comfortable on his wrong side.
  17. If you say so, it's a nothing match anyway.
  18. that's not the point, it's a weak defence, adds pressure to the better elements. As I said a ridiculous side fielded by a manager who spielged about "no let up". Doesn't matter really but if you're going to play a weakened side then don't blow your trumpet in the preceding days.
  19. Probably didn't even want to play today, he's on a lot of matches this season as well,
  20. what did you expect.
  21. Not sure that it's the case for Wotton (or James for that matter) Think they're both here next year unless they get another club.
  22. Commentator gave it though, fortunately for us the ref didn't.
  23. Ridiculous side if you ask me, I thought we wanted to get maximum points from our last 2 games. I mean the front end and Kelv looks alright but that defence? Well I guess you won't know till you try though, however if we get wopped because of the defence there will probably be some sort of recriminations from Tranmere over it.
  24. Don't understand that either, during the Cherries glory days (well when they played good football under Bond anyway) plenty of Saints fans used to take a trip most Saturday afternoons when they were at home and Saints weren't. (That was before many people went to faraway games and the Internet for all was still just a few scratchings on the back of a fag packet on Tim Berners-Lee's desk). We always seemed pretty welcome as fellow travellers on the good football route.
