Team GB v Brazil on BBC Friday night......Cork played as part of a midfield three with Giggs and Micah Richards (...?) in a friendly with Mexico U-23s yesterday in Spain. Three 30 minute sessions-they lost one-nil.

I thought Parker and Gerrard both struggled to play the full 90 minutes. Two over 30s in a 442 system v a 451/433 system is asking a lot, especially if they are not 100% fit. Milner is not quick enough to play out wide but is both diligent and intelligent enough. Walcott is quick enough but doesn't play with his head up and is frustrating. As for £20 million Henderson.....one of the biggest footballing mysteries of all time. He had one good half of one season with Sunderland and then went off the boil and then some brainiac at Liverpool shelled out £20 mill.....which leads me to the conclusion that if any of our players play anywhere near the standard of last year we will have England squad members by the end of the season. Perm two from four -Lallana, Cork, Rodders and Lambert and no I have not been at the gin.

Cork before Rodders and Lallana but hopefully all three in a Southampton powered world cup winning team.

Maybe best to play the big teams early on as (hopefully.......) a lot of their players will have played in the Euros and will be knackered/not 100% ready. Whereas our boys will have been on a diet of raw meat and red bull (+a sex ban....)for 6 weeks or so. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!

you need to get out more .......just my opinion based on 40 years or so of watching football and having seen 40 or so of the matches last season. That said I think they will both play a large part in next season's campaign and they are both of premier league quality and will only improve with more experience.

Cork is more industrious and has a better first touch than Morgan. Morgan is also more prone to givng away free kicks/penalties with rash/mistimed challenges as well. I expect them both to thrive but think Cork will be the better of the two in the PL.

MOTD pundits are on the whole smug, bland tosspots who are passed their sell by date by a few years. Gary Neville is (IMHO.....)now the best pundit on the telly bar none.
