  1. No music 3 minutes before kick off. Let's hear the crowd instead.
  2. I saw enough in the first half v Brighton to remain optimistic. Lambert was stupid to put himself in the position where the ref had to make a decision, albeit the wrong one. But for the sending off this thread would not exist as we would have beaten Brighton comfortably and now be three points clear at the top of the league. An individual error not a crumbling edifice. We do lack a "target man" back up though......
  3. Morgan was more eye catching but Cork got through a lot more work........so Cork for me.
  4. Fulchester United.......
  5. Rod Hull's emu...although he has been struggling to get to games recently....the plastic ...!
  6. I came to this same conclusion, stuck in traffic on the way to the game last night. I would like West Ham to beat the likes of Middlesborough, Leicester, Cardiff etc,etc but lose to those clubs not likely to be in the race. That lessens our chances of winning the title perhaps but increases our chances of getting promotion by widening the gap to third. Leicester is the one team I worry about as they have the resources and now have a good manager to organise them. I only wish they had kept hold of Sven a little longer...... All that said I hate the way West Ham now play and thank god we don't play that way.
  7. I would be amazed if Palace don't fill their allocation. Sell out for sure......
  8. Every great orchestra needs a top top conductor, so Mr JackCork for me!
  9. Given the influx of foreign players into the premiership I think the championship now equates to the first division of old in terms of quality. One things for sure though this current team wouldn't like those muddy pitches from the 80s in their carpet slipper boots......
  10. the unsung heroes.. 1. Cork; 2. Hammond, and 3. Morgan... without the boiler room, the ship aint going anywhere........
  11. The9...do you have an agenda or are you a complete f**kwit? Cork is an outstanding player and one of the reasons we are top of the league. If you think otherwise you know the square root of f*** all about football.
  12. Cork's lack of confidence (!).....what nonsense. He has been one of our outstanding performers this season and possibly the calmest of the lot on the ball , and I have only missed Cardiff away in the league to date. One underhit pass doesn't make him a bad player. Its always difficult to adjust to the pace of the game and pace of the pitch for that matter when you come on as a sub in those circumstances. Give the lad a break..... As for rotation. This makes a lot of sense for the three holding mids and the other attacking mids/DC position. Our problem lies with RL who at the moment is playing every game but for the league cup. The most pleasing factor last night was that we did this without JC (but for a short period)and AL, two of our best players which bodes well for the winter when injuries and suspensions bite. The next most pleasing factor was that my old wardrobe had put a pair of football boots on and called itself Papa Buoba Diop. I seem to remember my wardrobe was quicker on the ball back in the day though!
  13. Sam's for ever launcing hoofballs, pretty hoofballs in the air they fly so high they reach the sky but at the Saints they fade and die Football's always hiding, Sam's looked everywhere, Sam's for ever launcing hoofballs, pretty hoofballs in the air. Monday morning lyrical genius....eat that!
  14. Which Saints player is an android? thinking about it... R2D2 as a full back I think. The terminator in the holding mid role. Others? Any others...

    Chaplow

Cork and Hammond lay the platform for everything that follows. Unsung heroes in all this.
  16. Surely somebdoy with greater song writing skills than mine can do something with the Hokey Cokey ..... ....oh Corky, Corky, Corky.....oh Corky, Corky, Corky..... foot in, ball out La-la-na I guess that might be the easy bit though..
  17. We need the pace to get in behind a defence...i.e De Ridder. If we don't have this teams can play a high line and press our (admirable IMHO) attempts to play the ball out of defence. As well as Guly has played at times I think he may need to make way for De Ridder to counter the tactical response we have seen from Burnley and now Cardiff.
  18. Lowe is de facto Director of Football, so not JVPs fault. Probably out shooting pheasants (the unemployed?) when the deal was there to be done. The deal should have been tied up weeks ago, as it is Lowe looks to have taken Cork for granted and left it too late and the probably tried to nickle and dime him. Meanwhile Brendon Rodgers is in Corks ear. Major **** up.....but good luck to the lad he was our most consistent outfield player and tried his heart out.
  19. gone to Watford.....says it all really!
  20. Watford, nice work Rupert.....
  21. Don't agree if crappy, moaning unsupportive fans are driving good young players out of the club then that's not management fault, as crap as management may be. This blame everyone, scattergun approach is not helpful. Let's be intelligent and balanced in our arguments, otherwise we will end up with the bath water and not the baby and then we will all have stacks to moan about.
  22. I heard that the players were out sacrificing goats to Beelzebub on the Friday prior to setting fire to an orphanage....the bastards... Lets get a mob together with burning crosses to eradicate this evil straight away. Only his lord MLT can save us from this wickedness. Really though .....how many dickheads write on this message board? They are young lads (mainly) trying their best (most of them) in a difficult situation (i.e surrounded by other young lads playing for a club thats skint and cant afford tried and tested quality). We can all ***** and moan all we want (and yes we were ****e on Saturday) but the only way out of this is together. Which probably means there is no way out of this looking at some of the crap posted on this meesage board. I would imagine Surman and Lallana will want to go and I can't imagine Cork and Pearce will want to stay. Then what I wonder, who's to blame then?
  23. ....and Surman's best games are when he is next to Cork at CM.....
  24. wierd that it appeared that Jack Cork the loanee had the most pride in his work today. Keep him as the holding mid so Surman can romp about. :smt055
  25. Cynics of the world unite...... He's hardly a media trained old pro with mercenary tendencies is he? Give the kid a break. Bottom line is he is keen provided Chelsea let him extend. Every cloud doesn't have to have a grey and thunderous lining.
