  1. Fat rich boy . Big no ............
  2. Two footed, decent in the hair and clever on the ball, English and 22. Think a young Teddy Sherringham ( I hope....) and a good foil to SRL. In the championship team of the year and a mate to Cork and Fox also so should settle quickly. Just the sort of player we should be signing. If we get Curtis Davies also I would be chuffed. Thomas Ince apparently fancies himself a bit, not sure he would fit in as well.....
  3. Chilworth-nice if you like the sound of the motorway....dont blame him for moving.....
  4. Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves....why not throw in Keiron Dyer and a couple of other perma injured crocks.......
  5. The charge of the light brigade wasn't that successful....
  6. the reason Lallana and Guly scored so many goals was that they were given freedom to roam and attack with two from Morgan, Hammond and Cork sitting (well) behind the ball and covering the gaps. The intelligence and defensive discipline of Morgan and Cork in particular is at times lost as we all "ooh" and "ahh" about the goals and eyecatching flicks and skills but ignore the filling in, ball winning and closing down of the middle two. The boiler room has been highly effective. That said I think 442 (away from home in partiuclar) will be suicidal next season and we will have to start looking at 4231 and 451 which may not bode well for Billy Sharp. At times we have matched 2 v 3 in the middle and still won games comfortably but in the premier league that may well prove very, very difficult. Lots to think about......
  7. Klasnic as back up for SRL isnt a bad call. Reo Coker seemed to have spent his life itching to be somewhere else wherever he's been and appears to have the loyalty of an alley cat and a huge opinion of himself....so thats a no from me.
  8. I have always like West Ham but can't stand the big fat **** running the show, so I am afraid its Blackpool 6 West Ham 0 for me.
  9. Difficult to gauge how good he is in a pub league. Cork and Morgan would probably look like Xavi and Iniesta up there.....
  10. .....take Cork, Jos, Fox, Lee and Sharpy out of last year's team and we would not have been promoted. So if that was their impact they were very, very good signings and given the value of the prize gained comparatively cheap (Cork cost around £1 million, Jos about the same (maybe less), Lee for free, Fox for £1.8 million, Sharpy about £1.8 as well..so around £5.6 million in transfer fees for 5 players likely to be up to premier league standard) Next year will be interesting to see how good some of our players really are. I would say Cork, Morgan, Jos, Sharpy,Lallana,SRL,Fox, Lee and Kelvin will prove to be of premiership quality. The rest -not convinced. Of those 9 , 5 are NA signings.
  11. Take a look at Jack Cork's progress over the years. The trick is for these young lads to get out on loan and play at the best level they can infront of crowds and against men (rathher than fellow teenagers) where the result matters. Hanging around in the reserves/21s too long isn't going to help their development a great deal .
  12. Spurs are well aware of Foxs Coulrophobia and are seeking to take advantage of his predicament.
  13. I will spend most of my time hunting down clowns and shooting them, the bastards..
  14. ...does that extend to freedom of speech and freedom of expression though, fundamental planks of our constitution that made this country great. It'll be kristallnacht at the local fancy dress shops all over town before we know it........
  15. My word, there are some anal ****ers on this forum. Maybe it mattered a bit in (circa) 1983 (when there was a genuinely interesting and vibrant sub culture for football fashion) but its now 2012 so to all those who still think it’s the 80s …. FFS move on and create something original of your own. Clones are dull......
  16. Ipswich away. We were unplayable at times.
  17. Going by that description then fair enough. Unfortunately the world is full of ****wits like that. Sounds like they need to learn how to hold their drink and how to behave. Being the youngest of three brothers I learnt pretty quickly....the hard way!
  18. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." .....carrying a flare whilst dressed as Captain Birdseye, singing about wotsit looking goalkeepers in Southampton's most upmarket curry emporium under the influence of alcohol ....absolutely shameful behaviour. It is indeed a dark day...... NOT......COYR !!!!
  19. A big ****ing smile when we go up!
  20. Full car on its way from Banstead down the M3 and all the way to the Premiership. Taking one for the team by not drinking..........I have my crack pipe though, so not all bad!
  21. How are you dealing with this? 47 cans of Ace lager, 12 packets of pickled onion flavoured monster munch and a shed load of Thorazine. Is there any other way?
  22. no...he needs to bite the bullet and drop Dean " caught in possession...yep that's another goal" Hammond.
  23. yes I think he worked very well with Cork, Lambert and Lallana at the start of the season. All very quick witted and clever on the ball. The Ipswich away game comes to mind in particular-we were unstoppable (unlike Barca.....!). Its just a shame he is not 10 years younger.
  24. Chaplow has the touch of an irate blacksmith..........but that aisde we'll win this game by at least 4 and Sunday will see some of the biggest South Coast hangovers in history.
  25. According to my dream last night we go one up through a penalty (SRL) followed by an over elaborate goal celebration which sends SMS into raptures of joy. Then I woke up. I will try and lucid dream my way into the second half tonight.
