Agree with most of the ones listed -the 2-2 at Wolves, 2-2 at Watford and a 4-2 at Hull were also up there.

Lallana will never play (regularly) for England - even one that had a Damascus moment. He's fantastic on the ball -well at least, in the lower leagues- but his passing and awareness of others isn't actually that special.

Carroll was poor - less subtle than a geordie on the pull. Winning the ball is one thing; genuinely bringing others into play is another. Hodgson got it wrong with 4-4-2 -should have played a diamond or crowded the midfield both to neuter Italy and give Carroll/Rooney more support. Very few international teams play with out and out wingers, so going narrow has fewer risks. Hodgson's a lucky boy that he's english. Almost feel sorry for Capello and Sven.

Yep would provide that elusive balance in the middle -and still leave room for some genuine pace and width (still a priority IMO). Either way, fits the mould of having players who can play in several different positions and is another 6+ footer - we must have one of the biggest teams around. -

He's left footed, though that's not necessarily an obstacle to playing on the right. Sounds like a vamped up version of chaplow -sometimes erratic in possession but box-to-box and great at making runs into the box. -
Can's Lost Tapes - hit and miss in places (as you would expect) but some real gems, midnight men being a standout track.

Right after the football season finishes is as good a time as any (probably the cheapest time as well)

One thing with east european girls is that they have the passive-aggressive thing down to a fine art.

You forgot to add potential buyers? That's much unlike you

And to think our MOTM 14 months ago was jonno quick.

Intend to check it out. Read Stalingrad which I really enjoyed - does battle narratives very well, though sometimes at the expense of losing the woods through the trees.

Italy will out-england england.

How much is he worth? Of course, I'd try to convince a bulb like you he was worth £30m, doesn't mean I mean I'm going to get it (in your case it might be a bit different). Serious point is would you keep a player who you have to pay premier league wages but has virtually zero chance of featuring? And what is the minimum price you would put on someone like that -it's called a reservation price in business- obviously hoping to get more? Would I sniff at 500k? Definitely not (it's more than we reportedly got him for) and I don't think most sensible people would either.

Tbf liars probably have radiohead to thank for a lot. Like radiohead tho would be interested to know what they could do with a different producer. Their live stuff often sounds better than the sheeny studio stuff that nigel goodrich has arguably over produced.

Like him- thought he was very important to our revival just after NA joined and RL was suffering but also thought he was bit of a reverse guly for some of our lot.
-
Obviously was not a 100% match fit but looked way off the pace whenever he featured last season. £800k is a great price (for us) for a 28 year old with unproven championship ability -and there are plenty of people with more promising records who've failed to cut it in the championship. I'd happily take £400-500k for the player.

Have been standing near the back of block 4 and have got weekly grief for standing (one lad got banned for headbutting a steward). Its been particularly resented given the northam has done what it liked). At least, the stewards backed down when blocks 1-3 were opened for west ham etc. Thinking of moving a few seats to the right to block 3 to save a few quid, especially if others move but made some good mates in block 4 upper during the bleak years and it's become the de facto heart and soul of itchen north. Sun ain't that much of a factor.

And no trademark reference to ponies and bestiality. Wummery's slipping dog.

Fair point, though the example he gives of someone going from £10k p/w to £150k p/w would never happen. Morgan was on £10k in the championship - its as if City would swoop for a young, inexperienced championship player and suddenly make them one of their top earners. Oxo was on £25K p/w at Arsenal - he's now reportedly had his wage doubled. Given some of our top earners are probably slightly over £30K p/w, the gap is smaller. Obviously we're underpaying but we're not a million miles away once you put on a figure on being settled and the other things that kept le tiss with us.

On saintsplayer? nah that's jayrod's naughty, hell-raising dad.

Question is still valid. Adjusted for inflation, how much would £4m be in today's terms - certainly more than £6-7m.

Seeing we didn't sell out Boro, I guess many wouldn't go that far.
