I don't know why there are so many worrying at this point in close season. The good players hold the cards at the moment - they'll not move early unless there's a massively incentivised deal on the table. Also, here's a little suggestion - look back to our time in L1...think about the strategy employed to support the Manager....(let me help - we bought some of the best players from the division and 2-3 from the division above). Now, do you honestly think that Cortese will not employ a similar strategy for the NPC? Risk relegation or not progressing? Nah, nor do I...we'll be strengthening the 1st team alright - just gotta be patient that's all.

I'm a musician (guitar/vocals) in primarily two bands, so playing quite a few live gigs is my main other pastime other than my family. I have a 6 month old Grandson who WILL be a Saints supporter and increasingly he is going to take up more of my time I think. I'm also a keen photographer - portraiture and stuff like weddings mainly. Interestingly, I've been wondering recently whether there is a 45+ year old football 'club' to get involved in. I miss having a kick about, but can't keep up with the youngsters nowadays. Anyone know of anything or any like-minded chaps interested in getting something organised - perhaps once or twice a month?

I can't see Nigel wanting him to be honest - while there were some flashes of competency (in L1), he will not have enough to compete for a 1st team place in the NPC IMO. We need to improve and he doesn't fit the bill to be fair.

Hardly ever buy one so it doesn't really mean too much to me. It might mean something to the printing company when the Pimpley thugs find out and raid the premises to try to destroy something Saints related though.

Gutted to see the likes of Bale and Walcott go as it was a clear sign that the strategy of bringing through youngsters to fill the squad was but a pipe-dream of an egotistical Chairman that only had half a vision, no money to see the project through and no guts to sell the club to get the money needed to push on to the next level.

This is excellent news and all part of the building block approach to getting this club into the very top tier of UK football at least. I am convinced this club will be in the Champions League within 10 years.

The bit that concerned me the most was his mention of irregular heart beat issues - feeling tired etc. OK, he was checked over at a hospital, but I would say that could be a potential health issue for the future perhaps - would he pass sport level medicals?

This is true. Nevertheless, he will be found wanting in the NPC IMO - not good enough and will always be a bench warmer above L1 level.
