Definately Bournemouth. Limited funds would mean less strengthening. There's a couple of players in the other teams that might fancy the step-up if they lose out on promotion (e.g. Pilkington, CMS).

It was great to see the likes of Barnard on the pitch celebrating with the rest of the team. Didn't see Chamberlain though.

Will start on Saturday by coming on here and chat b0ll0x for a little while over a cuppa. Leave for SMS at 1.30-ish and park up in Woolston, then catch bus over bridge. Get to Chapel Arms where I'll have a pint or two to soak up the atmos. Pick-up a cheeseburger on way down to Stadium. Watch match - choke back the tears when the Markus chants start and at the final whistle when the place erupts. Leave ground and walk back over the bridge happy as Larry. Drive home - load up music gear and travel over to Roddington Forge to perform with my band for the evening (and have a couple more pints). (I'll probably mention Saints promotion over the PA, but it will undoubetly fall on deaf ears).

I hope Bompey go up in the play-offs and we all stuff Pimpley good and proper. (:

As usual the travelling supporters sounded fantastic - as though Home Park was the new SMS! Well done - wish I could have been there.

Can I be the first on this thread to suggest a 2nd statue outside SMS of Markus is an absolute must. Or at least something named after the great man like a stand or something? This summer is the time for the club to really do something permanent at SMS to celebrate what Markus did for us all - he didn't spend many years with the club like Ted did - he never got that opportunity bless him - but he did invest his time and money to make the lives of all Saints supporters (and the City of Southampton in general) so much richer. March on Saints for Markus!

Well done Nigel Adkins. It will be interesting to see how you cope in the NPC - I truly hope you are able to stay right the way through the journey and seal a place in Saints hall of legends. We'll be right behind you - I hope NC and the family are too.

Yep - I was confused about the decision to fire Pardew and unsure about Adkins appointment, but always sure of Nicola's right to make those decisions because he saved us by bringing the club to Markus' attention and then agreeing to sort the mess out that Lowe left. Everything is coming together nicely at all levels of the club - I just hope that Nicola recognises the contribution the long standing ST holders have made - I really don't want to be shafted with stupid pricing just because we're climbing back up the leagues.

Anyone else feel like this is a bit of a surreal moment? Saints not scrapping for relegation - not scrapping to get into the play-offs - not holding on for dear-life. It's just not Saints! We are renewed...this really feels like the re-birth of our great football club!

Come you Saints .... 0-2 up and coasting into the Championship! Pity the service on this forum is so damn poor. Can't even get the 2nd half thread open in time/atall!
