  1. I think it's only fair to include Beyonce: And I would also like to add Vicky McClure:
  2. I walked past a Scientology place Near Tottenham Court Road yesterday, there were also people in funny masks shouting stuff at it from outside.
  3. I don't need the match threads and updates, because believe it or not I actually go to matches.
  4. That's not technically the academy is it?
  5. David Crystal is the man.
  6. Should have said the days of dreaming we might snatch a win despite playing sh!t are gone.
  7. Any win will do, although I do think the days of beig outplayed but nicking a win are probably numbered as NA likes to outplay as well as beat teams. I think Morgan will score soon as he seems to be driving forward with the ball more under Adkins, like he did to set up the goal on Saturday. I might put my money where my mouth is on that too. I'm hoping for a comfortable 3-0 win, and I don't think that's too unrealistic.
  8. The simple answer is we only know what we've been told, and that is that the 5 year plan will continue as normal regardless of Markus' death. We can therefore assume that we still have as much or as little money available to us at the moment as we would if Markus was still with us. The fact that SSN is reporting that Cortese and Adkins were watching Ecklestone on Monday, as unreliable as it often is, suggests we are still actively looking for players.
  9. Nice one, might see you in there!
  10. Fonte possibly back as well.
  11. Great, thanks for the info. All I need now is a way of getting there and back!
  12. anyone driving up from London got a space in their car? Can pay for petrol.
  13. Don't suppose anyone is driving from London? Willing to pay petrol money!
  14. Stood right in front of you then.
  15. Thought he was very good yesterday, still a couple of mistakes but certainly much improved on last season, and there's no doubt he's a trier. Jaidi did well too fwiw, not sure about the bicycle kick though!
  16. I don't believe that 9/11 was an 'inside job' but I do find conspiracy theories really interesting, and definitely think we shoul question whether all we are led to believe is true.
  17. Tonight I'm working 5 until about 3.30. Will get home about 5, if the bus actually turns up, and then I have to be at Kings Cross to get the 9.55 train to Sheffield. Going to be pretty tired. A few good beers should wake me up though, and by the game I should be awake and serverly intoxicated. I'll then drink a lot more after the game, and probably stop in a pub in London when I get off the train. Then going to a house party. Sunday is for sleeping/recovering.
  18. 'while Fratton Park needs to get ready for League One football in 2010-11' - It's been ready for league one football for 100 years!
  19. I sit in the Northam because I like to sing when I go to a game. Anywhere else in the stadium you just get funny looks and you're on your own. Away games are much better tbh.
  20. First away game of the season for me, going with about 25 other London Saints. Second time at Hillsborough, the other being last time we played them there. I think we could get a result but if not at least the beer will be good!
  21. Yes Saturday night is Indie Night still, but is also band night which gets a little boring if the band is rubbish and often results in it being quite empty. We usually only go there on a Friday night and go to a place called Unit on Saturdays, which is a reincarnation of Unit 22 that used to be by Dock gate 4 and I think is a sister venue of the joiners. It's pretty good, has an upstairs and a downstairs, the upstairs being more Indie than down. It gets pretty packed in there but is a pretty good night. The music can be a little bit emo sometimes but there's always songs you know. It costs £4 for students and maybe £5 for non-students but not exactly sure.
  22. The corners he put in from the Chapel/Kingsland corner were excellent, keep putting crosses like that in the box and it's only a matter of time until we score from them. It looked as if Holmes and Dickson had been told to play as wide as possible, which made the pitch bigger when we were going forward. If Sheffield Wednesday still have Jon Otsemobor at right back I'd definitely play both of them, as when he played for us he just stood off and gave the winger loads of room.
  23. Adkins is used to geting the best out of average players from his time at Scunny, therefore I'm hoping that with a bit of work he can get Hammond back to his best and back to actually playing an important role in the team. I think he needs to work on his fitness to start with.
  24. Thought exactly the same thing, too many sideways passes. Need the CMs to come and collect the ball, turn and pass forwards. Also Lawrenson talking about Manure's wingers- we need players stuck out on the line, which seemed to be the thinking behind the double substitution on Saturday. Can't believe they didn't mention MLT when talking about players who could play while walking though!
