Seaborne was very poor IMO. As stated above; considering heading ability is meant to be one of the stronger aspects of his game, his percentage of headers won was awful. He also just booted the ball whenever it fell to his feet, regardless of whether there was other options on. I thought Fonte played really well and you could tell that he;d come from the CCC. Similarly, Otsemebor played reasonably well.

Millwall V Saints - Post Match Reaction

Just got back home after the game. I haven't read any of the other posts on this thread so I will state my opinions on the game with no bias; Saints were poor today. We had very little going forward and looked nervous at the back. Fonte played very well and it is clear we've made a good signing there, but Seaborne was quite frankly awful today. I can only hope he's going to get better. I was absolutely gutted that we didn't win today after taking the lead so late, but I think a draw was a generous result considering our performance. 3 or 4 weeks ago I would have put money on us reaching the playoffs, but now I really don't think we will. It's gonna take a major slip up from another team and a big improvement from us to get anywhere near. -

Yes, plus the fact the squad was away for a couple of days could have delayed a deal until Monday or Tuesday. -
Is it Karma Chameleon?

I'd be very surprised if we did. Pleased, but surprised. Seems like we made an offer for Seaborne, Exeter said no so we went for Ward, then just as Ward was about to sign, Exeter came back and said we had ourselves a deal.
-
As it says here, Seaborne would certainly be on lower wages. Perhaps Pardew chose him over Ward so that he could sign another player on higher wages?

I live about 5 minutes drive from the New Den and we've had a bit of snow/sleet today, which has settled on the roads and pavements and could affect the game, should it continue. But hopefully it should be fine from now until Saturday. -
That is awful.

Excellent, let's hope that's true.

Still on the Sky sports news ticker, would be very strange for them to not only put it on there but leave it on if they didn't know for sure.

That's where I live, more or less. Which pub?

Or they're not flying with a commercial airline

Doesn't sound like someone who's about to go and join him.

Does this mean it'll be back if/when we sign him?
-
Never heard of it

Without meaning to sound insensitive, children who's parents are separated or have passed away already get significantly more money than those who' parent live together and both work, which of course is fair enough, providing they need the money. I think that the student loans system is already floored as it is, as it doesn't look at each case individually enough, so this could just see more people awarded grants who don't actually need them, and others who do missing out. -
Stranger things have happened.
