  1. Hmmm, some sort of welsh male choir should do the trick. I'm on it ...
  2. Nooo to be honest, but I'm sure we could find a local choir to do one for us?! And Solent University have good recording facilities...
  3. Yes good point, I suppose they have to be suspended at some point. Trottman talking as if he is definitely playing here though http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1905030,00.html
  4. I don't understand what that is supposed to mean?! Have I missed something here?
  5. Just posted this on another thread, I'm sure many will think it is a ridiculous/lame idea but I reckon it could be great: The slow Oh When the Saints is the most atmospheric song we have, and when kept slow sounds brilliant and no doubt intimidating. How about this for an idea- we all know at Liverpool they play 'You'll Never Walk Alone' over the PA system before the game and the crowd join in- could we ask SFC to play a slow version of owts over the PA system as the players are coming out/lining up to shake hands and all join in with this?
  6. Agreed and it's been like that the last few home games. Have to agree with RedAndWhite91 when he makes his point about all of the songs being sung too fast; it doesn't give the song a chance to go on for more than one verse and consequently stops more people from being able to pick it up and join in. The slow Oh When the Saints is the most atmospheric song we have, and when kept slow sounds brilliant and no doubt intimidating. I think it would be excellent personally.
  7. I really think we need all of them to have any chance of getting a result at Leeds, and to be honest they're all liable to pick up cards in games. TOugh one to call; I really want to have our strongest possible team out at Leeds but I also want to progress in the JPT. I guess it depends whether or not these 5 players can manage 90 minutes without committing a bookable offence.
  8. Well there you go then! But to be honest you'd probably look even more strange as it would be clear you'd gone to a lot of effort!
  9. Maybe we could purchase a large swiss flag, to be hung somewhere in the stadium, and put some kind of message on it?
  10. Definitely playing in the Blue and Yellow kit, so unless you can acquire a blue and yellow santa hat there's probably not much point. If you really feel the need to do it, wear one at the Exeter game.
  11. Lol, yes it comes from the row behind me and the one behind that. Started off with just a couple of people at the beginning of the season but has caught on to quite a few around them now too. Usually followed by the ever imaginative 'there's a funny smell of bacon over there! Pork! Pork!'
  12. I'm more than willing to accept that MLT is not above debate, as there is obviously no way one could argue that when in doing so they are debating it. However, this argument surely neglects the fact that Legend status is subjective, and therefore just because you do not feel he is a legend, which admittedly you have a reasoned argument for, does not mean he does not command Legend staus; in the eyes of others. Obviously noone could have any argument against Ted Bates, and perhaps that was a bad example to use, but my point was that just because one person feels there is a reason to question someone's legend status, doesn't stop him being a legend to the majority, and therefore still deserving of legend status.
  13. That's a ridiculous argument! You're the only loser who disagrees that MLT's a legend- so that means that he is not because there is one 'dissenting argument'? By that logic I can come out and disagree that Ted Bates is a legend and that automatically takes away his legend status.
  14. Southampton are alright!
  15. Only 1 leg to the Semi Final!
  16. Who are the players on 4 yellows at the moment? Harding and Jaidi I know, is it Hammond as well? If so I'd have all three of these on the bench rather than starting.
  17. Pompey, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Birmingham, Hull, Wolves, Derby, West Brom, Notts Forest, Cardiff, Swansea, Newcastle, Sheffield United, Bristol City, Middlesborough, Crystal Palace, QPR, Coventry, Ipswich, Reading, Plymouth, Charlton, Leeds, Norwich, Bristol Rovers, MK Dons, Millwall, Swindon, Brighton, Tranmere, Bournemouth and Notts County, respectively.
  18. My season ticket at St Mary's cost me £260, the equivalent at Carrow road would have cost me £150. I'm sure a lot more of my mates would have got one if they were that cheap.
  19. Yeah I had a look back at the touchline when the physio came on and I'm pretty sure the manager was still over by the bench.
  20. Right, firstly I think the argument that being passed the ball more often makes it easier to score is somewhat naive. By that reckoning, one could pick any player in any team and by passing him the ball more often he would definitely score more often, right? So if Pardew told the players, in their team talk tomorrow, to pass it to Dean Hammond every chance they got, he'd be guaranteed to score would he? Secondly, whilst there is little argument that Beckham is and always has been in better shape than Le Tiss was in his latter years, Le Tissier played at the 'highest levels' (the premier league, although obviously not for England) from 1986-2002, and Beckham has played at the top level from 1993-2002 so far, both 16 years, therefore there is not much difference in terms of the length of their careers, as Beckham is not likely to play for too much longer, at least not at the highest level. Finally, all of your opinion is purely that, not based on any sort of factual evidence, and it is quite impossible to predict what may have happened if he had moved to another club. As it happens, he did not, and consequently became a Legend at this club, which you, for some reason, seem unable to accept. Everyone on this board knows that Beckham, Lampard and Gerrard have achieved more medals, titles and praise in their career then Matthew Le Tissier did, but that's irrelevant. Why? Because none of them have ever played for the Saints. We love Le Tissier because he was OUR own brilliant player, who never played for anyone else; our one man up there with other Premiership greats. If you can't appreciate this then I don't understand why you support Saints? If you look for the very best in every player and team then why do you not support Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool?
  21. I wonder who has the bad social skills?! My money's on Paul Wotton!
  22. Lol. They are awful aren't they? I've always assumed they must be work experience kids. Also, is it standard journalist practice to include the person's name in the title of the story about them? For example instead of at title of 'Man killed in car crash' then 'John Smith was driving on the M27...' in the first paragraph, the Echo will often write 'John Smith killed in Car Crash', which to me seems very abrupt and unprofessional.
  23. I always find it amazing how the Echo can run the same story so many times; they seem to just retype an article multiple times and usually it's hardly news worthy anyway. Articles consistantly have spelling mistakes within them and it's quite clear they're often not proof read. The comments about Lowe in the last article were absolutely pathetic, and i suggest that they issue an apology not only to Mr Cortese but also to the fans. As someone else mentioned earlier, if it wasn't for the Swiss buyout you'd be reporting on Eastleigh at best.
  24. Nice, I'm with London Saints so sure we'll see you around.
