  1. Who are the players on 4 yellows at the moment? Harding and Jaidi I know, is it Hammond as well? If so I'd have all three of these on the bench rather than starting.
  2. Pompey, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Birmingham, Hull, Wolves, Derby, West Brom, Notts Forest, Cardiff, Swansea, Newcastle, Sheffield United, Bristol City, Middlesborough, Crystal Palace, QPR, Coventry, Ipswich, Reading, Plymouth, Charlton, Leeds, Norwich, Bristol Rovers, MK Dons, Millwall, Swindon, Brighton, Tranmere, Bournemouth and Notts County, respectively.
  3. My season ticket at St Mary's cost me £260, the equivalent at Carrow road would have cost me £150. I'm sure a lot more of my mates would have got one if they were that cheap.
  4. Yeah I had a look back at the touchline when the physio came on and I'm pretty sure the manager was still over by the bench.
  5. Right, firstly I think the argument that being passed the ball more often makes it easier to score is somewhat naive. By that reckoning, one could pick any player in any team and by passing him the ball more often he would definitely score more often, right? So if Pardew told the players, in their team talk tomorrow, to pass it to Dean Hammond every chance they got, he'd be guaranteed to score would he? Secondly, whilst there is little argument that Beckham is and always has been in better shape than Le Tiss was in his latter years, Le Tissier played at the 'highest levels' (the premier league, although obviously not for England) from 1986-2002, and Beckham has played at the top level from 1993-2002 so far, both 16 years, therefore there is not much difference in terms of the length of their careers, as Beckham is not likely to play for too much longer, at least not at the highest level. Finally, all of your opinion is purely that, not based on any sort of factual evidence, and it is quite impossible to predict what may have happened if he had moved to another club. As it happens, he did not, and consequently became a Legend at this club, which you, for some reason, seem unable to accept. Everyone on this board knows that Beckham, Lampard and Gerrard have achieved more medals, titles and praise in their career then Matthew Le Tissier did, but that's irrelevant. Why? Because none of them have ever played for the Saints. We love Le Tissier because he was OUR own brilliant player, who never played for anyone else; our one man up there with other Premiership greats. If you can't appreciate this then I don't understand why you support Saints? If you look for the very best in every player and team then why do you not support Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool?
  6. I wonder who has the bad social skills?! My money's on Paul Wotton!
  7. Lol. They are awful aren't they? I've always assumed they must be work experience kids. Also, is it standard journalist practice to include the person's name in the title of the story about them? For example instead of at title of 'Man killed in car crash' then 'John Smith was driving on the M27...' in the first paragraph, the Echo will often write 'John Smith killed in Car Crash', which to me seems very abrupt and unprofessional.
  8. I always find it amazing how the Echo can run the same story so many times; they seem to just retype an article multiple times and usually it's hardly news worthy anyway. Articles consistantly have spelling mistakes within them and it's quite clear they're often not proof read. The comments about Lowe in the last article were absolutely pathetic, and i suggest that they issue an apology not only to Mr Cortese but also to the fans. As someone else mentioned earlier, if it wasn't for the Swiss buyout you'd be reporting on Eastleigh at best.
  9. Nice, I'm with London Saints so sure we'll see you around.
  10. Funnily enough I found myself on a train back from an away game with a load of Macclesfield fans last season and they started singing political songs; killed the mood a little!
  11. Which pub(s) you planning on going to in London Bridge? Market Porter? The new Wheatsheaf was good before the Charlton game.
  12. Well he did get caught on CTV.
  13. Cheers for the update! 2000 fans would be an excellent turn out for a game so far away and so close to Christmas.
  14. Everything old Brenda is complaining about exists already! You can already see buildings over the trees- won't matter that we're making it two storeys then. The noise level isn't going to increase, neither are the amount of people there! Apart from during the building process. Think she's submitted her objections a few years too late! She needed to object back in the 'Road Sea' days! Incidentally, whilst the council are obviously obliged to make all objections public, they are surely not under instruction to publish the personal details of the objector? I really hope no one takes it upon themselves to try to find or contact her in anyway- everyone's entitled to their opinions after all.
  15. Ah cool cheers, don't really know many of their players tbh! Haven't watched the whole game but from what I've seen he's had to do, he's been dodgy at.
  16. On the subject of Leeds- is that their first team keeper playing tonight? If so, I'm getting more optimistic!
  17. Sounds good to me.
  18. Wind up merchant of the year? How can it go to anyone but Mr Tony Lynam?
  19. Using the old buy your family something that you want so you can use it trick?! FWIW I'm just getting money towards away games tickets and travel.
  20. I think Tranmere will be slightly more attacking than Wycombe were when they came to St Mary's, which should be a good thing for us. 2-0.
  21. As far as I understand it you can buy one on a 'pro-rata' basis, whereby you pay for how ever many home games remain at the date of purchase. For example if you were to buy one tomorrow, it would start on Saturday against Tranmere and continue until the last game of the season. Similarly, you could buy one in January, paying less, but getting less games. That's what I've been lead to believe anyway.
  22. Oops!
  23. If we are going to rest the players who are on four yellow cards at the moment, Pardew might as well tell them to deliberately get yellow carded against Tranmere, thus getting the suspension out of the way before Leeds.
  24. Too true.
  25. Seen him live before- funniest gig ever.
