for_heaven's_Saint

Got to be the same personnel as today: --------------Forster------------------- Cedric--Stephens--Yoshida--Bertrand ----------Romeu---Davis-------------- --JWP---------Tadic---------Redmond -------------Gabbiadini---------------- With Boufal, Long and Clasie/Hojbjerg to come on at some point.

If I were you I'd get yourself to Wealdstone FC. There'll be loads of saints in there before and after, and they are showing the game. You never know, you might even find someone with a spare ticket. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/45042/

Don't really know much about him tbh. How good is he? Is he usually a CB or RB? What sort of defender is he?

Had a trial and failed to impress at Palace a few days ago apparently.

With Boufal playing we have a chance. He's capable of winning it on his own.

I'll be watching in Sydney. Guessing the Star Casino is most likely.

Are they? Where's that reported?

This has all the makings of a classic transfer saga!

Puel out!

Not when you consider VVD is worth a quarter of that alone.

Good day to bury bad news?!

One of the moments of the match for me was Romeu putting in a crunching tackle on Milner, getting up and just walking away, leaving Milner in a heap off the pitch.

Only other reference seems to be this link, and it is simply suggesting him as an option: https://www.google.com.au/amp/amp.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/01/24/should-southampton-turn-to-hull-citys-harry-maguire-as-jose-font/?client=safari Young, English and probably not toooo expensive though, so our sort of signing.

Cool, thanks for the info! I didn't have time to look that up so nice to have someone do it. Let's hope, if we do get him, that he continues those percentages when playing more regularly.

Well that depends what your expectations are and who you're comparing him to I suppose. Compared to say Austin, they're not that great. Gabbiadini has never scored more than 8 league goals in a season. I admit that when I looked at his total career goals, they were better than I thought. Still under 1 in 3 though. I'd still be happy if we signed him, just surprised that he's the player we are going for.

His goal scoring record isn't very good, so it's kind of hard to get excited about him. That said, I'm sure (or at least I really hope) that we wouldn't be willing to spend close to our record fee on him if he didn't have something about him.

So only £1.5mil difference between our valuations now.

I very much doubt he'll be fitter Wednesday.

Let's hope he's a fellow of infinite skill and most excellent finishing.

Think Nicola's main dream was a giant statue of himself outside the stadium.

Undoubtedly the question for a club our size is: is it better to have a more talented first team but with little in reserve or a balanced squad with a less talented (and perhaps less prolific and entertaining) first team? The answer for me hinges on the cup(s). I'll happily accept us resting players and sacrificing a few league wins if it means we bring home silverware.

I'm amazed no one has had a word!

I wouldn't hold your breath! FWIW my team would be: Forster; Cedric, VVD, Yoshida, Bertrand; Romeu, Clasie, Davis; Tadic, Jrod, Redmond.

At least we can knock them out of both cups!

Some classic Kelvin Davis goalkeeping for their first goal!
