I wouldn't read much into that result. Huddersfield are a good team at home, that had something to prove against us and had very much a good day during one of our off days.

I think, one way or another, we will make it.

So, Rooney has told SAF he wants to leave. City are going to be big front runners for his signature but i just can't see Man Utd letting him go to them. My money is on Real Madrid, even though Mourinho has said no in January. Liverpool ??? What does everyone think ?? I am gonna go for Citeh, no matter how unlikely they have the financial muscle to push it through.

They are a cracking team with a cracking set up down there. Played against a few of their players and they are definately talented, especially the Masons. Probably the best midfielder i have played against (well up there anyway)

well, we are 1-0 up anyways

Too young unfortunately, but still love the music for that era, takes me back to my school days. Shame.

I don't think its too late, but you have hit some valid points, after the warnings were there last season and we came into this in a similar situation. Pardews repeated 'we will sign someone soon, when the 21 squad limits are in place' was utter tosh. I think we have turned a corner though, Adkins has installed some good disciplines and plays good football and i am not reading too much into a loss at Huddersfield as they are pretty good at home. We will get promoted, but we should have been ready earlier.

There is no way they would have been better off had they not spent any money, Liverpool are in a dire state right now and a lot of it is attributed to Benitez who spend a fortune, the majority of which on players that didn't cut it or never actually got a game. The system he plays is because of the staff he has and is also pretty similar to what was being played under Rafa but with worse players than when Rafa first arrived. His only real striker with any pedigree is Torres who TBF played on his own a lot under Rafa and did well, but atm he is clearly lacking confidence, doesn't want the ball and is a shadow on the pitch. He really should have spent some cash on a striker to partner Torres, Ngog isn't really good enough, although he has surprised me with his goalscoring in Europe. But other than Ngog who else is there ?? Midfield is significantly weaker than any Liverpool team i can remember. Defence is ailing. Rafa really has knackered them, look at the players that have left under his tenure and no one of a class even close to them has come back in.

He'll get them relegated

Was there decent recruits available ?? This is two fold, both from the transfer comitte point of view and Pardews continued bleating of waiting for the 21 man squads to be released, which i think was a big let down really and didn't actually free anyone up.

I was talking about this yesterday Nick. The prem has gone backwards in recent times, now the spanish teams are better in terms of playing staff, with the pulling power for the likes of Kaka, Ronaldo etc. Citeh may end up with a large draw if and when they make it into the champions league. Man utd have no cash these days, they never replaced the likes of Ronaldo (well tbf who could ?). I can see SAF walking unless things change soon, he doesn't have the resources he needs to keep them fresh IMO. Look at who their stand out players are this year, Scholes and Giggs, both WELL the wrong side of 30. They just havn't got the quality replacements they did have a couple of years ago, they should have been signing Van Der Vaart not Tottenham. If Rooney does leave it will ring a death toll for Manure, and yes, i can see Citeh overtaking them before too long.

Antonio was never the first name on the team sheet either Proff ? Puncheon and Lallana were in their respected positions so IMO a winger is not needed. What with Holmes, Dickson, Ox-C and Mills all on the books. We now have Chaplow in the CM role covering, hopefully we sign him on for a longer period. As for the striker role. Lambert and Barnard are easily good enough at this level, Guly had a quality game against Tranmere and from people that were at Hudds was hardly the worst player their either. We are not in a bad place right not, Bignall was probably the sort of player we were going to get down here right now due to Barnard and Lambert being probably all but definate first 11's, who would want to sit behind them ? We are not in a bad place right now, Adkins has come in and given us a new lease of life and confidence, Lambert is getting back to his game. Huddersfield would always be a hard game, they are pretty good at home TBF so i was never 100% confident. I expect more of Tranmere at home against Oldham and we will push on from there. Don't get me wrong i wouldn't be against signings in Jan but we would have to A. Rid ourselves of Holmes, Mills etc and replace with more quality or B. put up with that fact that we will probably end up with a squad far too big, too expensive and bordering of becoming stale. We have the players at the moment, and are playing well (5 games unbeaten before Sat) Clark got his tactics right and the team were obvious very up for playing us, we won't win them all.

Its hardly all Roy's fault. The whole situation, the board troubles, the ego revolts that i expect are going on at the moment i mean Torres looks far from happy. He has inherited the fat spanish waiter's squad, from which the bufoon had spent far far too much and he has had no cash to spend. Hopefully he will be given a bit of cash and a bit of a leash to forge out a better future for Liverpool. As for the mong kop, i mean FFS, does one European cup really make up for pretty much detroying the team ? Benitez was a failure in my eyes, and the fact that the scousers have lost patience on Roy already is laughable really.

They have had a decent home record over last season and this one. Its not a terrible result. Personally i said i would take a draw before hand as i couldn't really see us beating them.

FFS and we miss the erect nipples
