Nah, don't have IPhone, i do have a X Trainer at home which i need to start pummelling again for a decent time. Yeah, like Stevo said, it was easy back in the day when i was at Barton as Flemming was just a short walk/drive away but getting home from work etc makes it harder. I may look into that cheers Stu, 3 month membership would be great, chamberlyne isn't far from me, and having the freeze membership thingy would be good too. Used to do about lvl 14 -15 in my Barton Peveril goal machine hey day but likely could get to about lvl 3 now lol. Drink only water anyways and drink a lot of green tea, not fussed about the perfect push ups yet and TBH wouldn't do 50-100 yet anyways !! Cheers guys, i'll let you know how i get on anyway.

Yeah, i have. I have been eating a lot healthier lately anyways, the missus is on slimming world, so i took the chance to remove all the unhealthy stuff from the house, and follow that regime (loosely). I don't mind eating a meat and some green veg at all to be honest, i'm not even that fussed on carbs but realise i need to eat a certain amount. So sparingly eat boiled pot's. Yeah can walk, and run, just 'shouldn't' really do any twisting sports but i have played the odd 6 a side game recently. I'm not a fan of swimming, i used to swim but never really fancied it as a fat burner, you can tone up swimming but prefer running for weight loss.

It is something i have done before, basically i have torn my ACL again, i did it when i was 18 and piled the pounds on but worked hard to lose them, unfortunately it looks like i have re injured myself and again waiting for the NHS to sort it i have been doing more or less no exercise for a year. I am pretty good when i get into exercise, but find i need to set targets or else, like you say, i get bored, i am basically going to do some running, and press ups, weights in my own time. I have set targets which i intend to meet, the 100 press ups is one, but i will give my self 10 weeks, 6 weeks is, like you say, too hard.

Anyone else tried this ?? I have managed, in my footballing absence, to build a rather impressive spare tyre around my midrift. For this reason i am trying to lose a substantial amount of weight now, (around 2 stone) I am going on a 4 week alcohol free tint after next tuesday. And am trying hard to lose what i have put on, for the moment i am not joining the Gym as due to work and need for an op on my knee i can't sign up for anything more than a 3 month membership. So, i found this site http://www.hundredpushups.com By the end of 6 weeks you should be able to perform 100 push ups non stop. I doubt i will make it, but worth a go.

Thats my opinion anyways, not saying he wouldn't come across as a coup as suggested, but we could do MUCH better with the money, and TBH, Lambert is a better all round player IMO, although i agree, unproven in top level. -

Yeah, fair point, would have been a good idea though, we will never fill a game like this. £12 is a bit steep, and £15 on the day is f*cking verticle. -
Lol

Umm ??? Reading Vs Saints thread ?? We have sort of gone off topic here. Not a bad game really to sink our teeth into, TBF, they are a decent football playing side and have gelled well in the second half of the season. Would be a pretty good test IMO. Agree though, £12 is a bit pricey and i agree, early bird ST's should get friendlies free -

A player that has done reletively f*ck all since he left us ?? We don't play his type of football anymore, Lambert is younger, puts in more effort, has far far better first touch. Beatts would struggle to get into the team ahead of him IMO, we definately don't need to pay a past it one time wonder mega bucks, and i certainly don't want to see the arrogant c*nt hanging around my bars any time soon. TBH i think we are pretty much ok for strikers, and next year would like us to play 4-5-1 anyways. -
Yeah she is pretty awesome tbf

HVDC is very very expensive however, and needs very very large end stations in order to effectively convert them from AC/DC and visa versa, also there are issues in protection. Interestingly also, your brain does not respond to DC voltage, so basically if you are in contact to it, you will not know until you begin to get warm. Scary As far as having bulk generation at massives distances from demand centres it causes it own issues. One of the advantages of wind power is that you could apply it close to the location of the demand.
-
Thank you for that, was something i wasn not aware about. Traditionally what many people fail to realise is although actually building the wind farms are 'relatively' carbon free the actual cost of reinforcing the network etc was always a large cost. I do believe there is a need for wind energy, but i am not convinced at the moment. Worryingly i have been reading reports that we will be importing 80% of our energy requirements by 2020.
-
Fantastic statement, perhaps all those short sighted fans quick to form an opinion will be eating their words ?
-
Clearly you both do not understand what i am trying to portray here, Buctoo also it is not just a research project but operational experience. I also apologise to Topgun as i thought he was saying that wind power could power the most of the UK, if, like you said above it is just to produce 20% etc of the UK's total energy demand, any more would be rediculous. As a technology however is still do not think it is as 'carbon neutral' as is being made out, added to the overall efficiency and power quality issues it creates, along with its small lifespan i believe that advances still need to be made here in order to make it the 'viable' solution so many believe it to be. I also can see you don't understand what reactive power is, or how it effects a network.
