This (Boufals touch). That was quality.

For the avoidance of doubt though, Billy, one who puts the ball in the net on a regular basis rather than one who throws a hissy fit and sulks when asked if he wouldn't mind honouring a contract where the ink is barely dry..... :^)

I guess the question to answer is whether you want a CB that plays safe and hoofs it into the stands or one that believes in himself and brings it out from the back to play forward. I think he's got the decision making in him to be the latter. I was at the game and frustrated that we couldn't find a winner, just not our day. When we were in possession, swanseas wide players would drop back, leaving their #10 alone against our 2 CBs and Davis and Romeu so I thought we could have pushed at least one of them further forward.

Has anyone received their tickets through the post for this game yet? Bit worried mine haven't turned up yet...

1. Micky Evans, just for this spell of goal scoring. Limited ability, absolute brilliant purple patch just when we needed it. 2. Mark Dennis, a mate worked at the Dell early 80's, Mark "popped out for some milk" from his house and returned 3 days later. It's not all about the football...... 3. Terry Hurlock, coming out of the Players Entrance with a crate of beer. It's still not about the football. 4. Steve Williams. For me, as a kid of that era and for the position I played, he was all about the football... That dates me somewhat. :^)

I work with a lad who has played football with jack at youth levels and he tells me jack is very grounded and had a good family around him so as you say, his attitude will be spot on.

My mate went to price a job at his house a couple of weeks ago and spoke to him and his missus. I asked him if he'd mentioned the transfer rumours to Ryan, but he said he was too busy drooling over Ryans OH to listen to what Ryan was saying......I think he's now got the job, so I'll prime him to stay focused and concentrate when Ryan speaks!!! :^)

And/or a buy back clause to cover all the bases.

Are you missing a B there?

Spurs beat Leicester on Thursday and we are guarenteed a top 10 finish, as Leicester play Bournemouth on the final day so both couldn't finish above us (assuming Leicester have lost to Spurs).
-
Having looked at the table and fixtures, a Spurs win on Thursday against Leicester would mean a guarenteed top 10 finish for us, as Leicester then play Bournmouth on the last day and if they've lost to Spurs, both couldn't then overtake us.

Great ball from Clasie into Long down the flank as well for the goal.

He was on a booking, so it did make some sense.

Maybe it's an age thing, but I'm not liking Wanyama at 4. It's either Holmes or Williams for me. Actually, no, I'd go with the hyphenated Holmes-Williams table and fill that table with mid to late 40s / early 50s blokes and watch the debate !!

We are playing some really good football in this game so far, very comfortable in possession.

I know FF has been bad, but that suggestion is a bit left field even for this forum !!!

This is being repeated now on BTSports3

Saints U23s v Chelsea U23s. Tonight @ 7pm @ St. Mary's
vince replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I believe it's being streamed via the official site tonight. -
Looks like a week off next week, so on to Spurs the week after. Let's go there and give it a good go, but if Forsters in goal, they might just need to hit the target to score! I'll go for a Desmond, 2-2.

Having seen that video, I'm surprised the lino didn't flag Stephens offside as he's clearly beyond the last defender, definitely interfering with play while being in De Gea's eyesight and playing for "not one of the big clubs" mode off> Being serious, the reaction and celebration of the fans and the spell immediately after will stay with me forever. I was sat next to the press box for the game and when the 1st goal was ruled out, those of us there could see the replays on their monitors and them all shaking their collective heads knowing that it was the wrong decision. It'll go down as a chance missed, Utd were there for the taking and that will always be a regret, but that performance will hopefully spur us on to a good finish to the season. Special thanks to Wealdstone FC on the day, good club and very welcoming for a pre match drink and nice to see a nipper in a Fawley Falcons hoodie there, a club I played for nearly 40 years ago when I lived in the area as a kid.

Looks like that's where my mates are driving up to, so I'll be meeting them there.

For the JPT, I parked up at Denham, 5 minutes from M40/M25 junction and loads of parking, and got an overland train from there. It's 3 or 4 stops to Wembley (15-20 minutes).

Not that anyone will care until tomorrow, but here's the build up thread for the FA Cup game... I'll go for an unwanted 1-1 draw...

Admittidly not the answer to the question you asked, but it is on 5 Live Sports Extra if that helps anyone.
