His only weakness (imo) is his finishing, which can be erratic - sometimes breathtaking, sometimes woeful. If he can sort this out he'll be England quality. I've never seen a player retain possesion like he does. He makes terrible passes seem superb. The Dalai Lallana is the new Le God!

I thought we looked tired, but we were still obviously the better side imo. Not many teams play at the intensitiy that we did against Barnsley and Ipswich. Some Millwall fans on the train afterward were saying that they were lucky it was only 1-0 coz we were all over them all game - so don't panic!

Baldock would be a quality signing. Young, pacy, scores all kinds of goals, and very cheap (compared to the others talked about anyway) If he's a decent bloke who'll fit in, then sign him up I say!

Our academy is so so well run. The right people have all got their fingers well on the pulse. For example, I indirectly know Matt Richie (former skate) through family connections. I know for a fact that from the age of seven that we were tracking him, asking him every year to move to us from the blue few. Matt's parents wanted him to leave Portsmouth but Matt himself said no, being a die hard pompey fan. IMO he'd be a far better player now if he had. (according to Matt's brother he is now greatly regretting not making the switch, but of course he would ) Just a little insight into how active our scouting of youngsters have been over the years. Long may it continue!

Ebanks-Blake. They'd both be cracking signings but SEB will score more goals. Maynard is arguably the better player and is a creator as well as a goalscorer, but we have Lallana for that! That said, I would be over the moon with either.
