Yeah, but drifting in from the left. How many times have we scored because of him turning quickly and bending a cross or shot in with his right foot? He wouldn't have the opportunity to do that from a central position. Don't get me wrong, I honestly think he would be quality in CM (I don't get all this lightweight carp) but he is so good on the left. If it aint broke don't fix it. (My views are subject to change should we sign someone of the calibre of Pilkington )

I think he could DAGJFU in CM but I think he's more effective on the left, mainly because I disagree with the statement that crossing isn't one of his best attributes. I think he is so dangerous when he cuts back onto his right foot and dinks in a cheeky cross (or shoots) that to move him into a position where he won't really be able to do this would be madness. Ok, as far as crossing from deeper goes, he can struggle, but that's why we have Harding and Dickson!

I don't really understand why everyone is jumping down hypos throat? His point seems fairly valid to me, he is just saying that if we don't buy some real quality this summer then questions will be asked about our supposed financial superiority. I don't necessarily agree because I don't think you judge financial positions on signings alone, but there's no need for the abuse he's getting. The bloke is just putting across his personal point of view ffs!

We all knew that, but obviously MLG had to point it out. He can't help himself!

This is probably me just being thick, but I can't see anything on the Hudders or Saints OS about this happening...
-
How do you know this? I wasn't aware we'd put in any bid for CMS...

Adam held his own pretty much when we were last in the Championship, he is now a better player. The NPC will be a natural step up for Chamberlain and he'll cause havoc, Walcott style. Schneiderlin vs Man Utd. Nuff said imo
-
I agree, but the rumblings are he'll end up with Celtic

I think people need to start trusting Cortese a bit more. We know how he likes to conduct things privately and professionally. I wouldn't be surprised if a few signings are all but done and we'll have two or three players confirmed in the first week of July. I still think Cork is likely to sign when he returns from Denmark.

I've been to occasional matches with my gf, who came along to see what I made such a fuss about I think. Not the same as when I go with my Dad, Brother and Grandfather or with mates though. That said if I was with a girl who was heavily into her football, I wouldn't be displeased

I will definitely shout very loudly at them and maybe even flick them a finger (if they look small)

I thought this was a bit strange, especially as the football league have always stated that the police would never allow football on New Years Eve before...
-
I'm gonna try to get to this one too, so I've already warned my gf that she'll have to entertain herself that evening!

Great news. Someone tell Alpine, it should cheer him up a bit! Any championship club would love to have lallana, Schniederlin and Chamberlain in their ranks!

Championship fixtures released - Leeds at home first

I really don't see us struggling next year. There are far weaker teams than us next season -
Am I alone in thinking that just because it is launched on the 20th of July, surely that doesn't necessarily mean that the design will be revealed on the 20th of July? The design of the the shirt could go up on the OS tomorrow, but it will only be able to buy on the 20th. That would be my understanding anyway...

Who was your favourite foreign Saints player? (current players don't count)

You're right sorry. That was a typo, I meant scored in. -
There are some quality players available on that list. I would hope that we're in the process of speaking to some of them

He was never the same player after the 2002 World Cup in my opinion. Such a shame, my favourite player as a kid, I've got a shirt with his name on somewhere!

OK, why we wait for that answer to be confirmed, here's another one: Which player, who made one appearance for Saints, is the only man to have played in the Manchester derby, the Liverpool derby, AND the Old Firm derby? (OK it's only loosely to do with saints, but it's still a good question!) -
That's the one. We're right behind the 2nd green. I don't play very often, but my old man is out there most weekends.

My parents' house looks over Stokes Bay golf course so I try to get a few games in every now and again when I'm down from University. Cricket is my second great sporting love, after saints, so I try to get to the Rose Bowl as often as I can, or to watch Kent if I'm at Uni. Other than that, I study Drama and Theatre Studies so I love to perform or watch theatre. I have my own comedy group and we specialise in early 20th century slapstick (laurel and Hardy type stuff) and we're looking to go professional with that within the next couple of years. I really enjoy researching the great comics of the last century, Tommy Cooper, Max Miller, The Two Ronnies... all timeless comics
