  1. Lambert has been superb in the opening games. Also I don't see Connolly being able to hold up the ball or win the headers like RL can!
  2. That wasn't what I meant. You questioned why people were putting Chaplow on the right when that isn't his natural position, implying that this was wrong of them to do so. However myself and other posters were highlighting that he played there on Saturday so that is why we are putting him in that position.
  3. Just because I, along with other people on the forum, was sure that Chaplow did play on the right on Saturday. I also remember him playing on the right quite often when he was at WBA. No offence meant like
  4. This. Haha, no offence MLG, but I love it when you're proved wrong
  5. This would just be great. Absolutely great.
  6. Welcome to the club Danny! Thanks for the nice words! Now wih regards to the competition debate, Harding was quality on Saturday, Dickson was gash on Tuesday. I still rate Dickson, but at the moment I think Harding has to be first choice, pushed hard now by fox. It's up to whoever isn't in the starting 11 to prove that they should be.
  7. I think we're going to win this one 2-0. We're on the crest of a wave at the moment and I can't see it stopping anytime soon. I think there will be changes to the team, I don't agree with all this 'don't change a winning team' stuff, because different players suit different situations, and Barnsley away is very different to Leeds at home! I reckon Chaplow's performances in the last couple of games have earned a starting spot over Guly, and I think he'll be more effective in this particular situation. I'd like to see: Davis Richardson - Fonte - Martin - Harding Chaplow - Hammond - Cork - Lallana Lambert - Connolly Bench: Bart, Seaborne, Morgan, De Ridder, Barnard/Guly (wow it really is hard to pick only 5 subs isn't it?)
  8. I wouldn't be surprised (or disappointed) to see us line up with: Lallana - Cork - Hammond - Chaplow on Saturday

Agreed. Total joke. Three people all trying to work out what you'd won on ONE CALCULATOR. They need to sort it out, god knows how they coped on Saturday!
  10. Pleased I went tonight. Rubbish crowd and rubbish atmosphere but an enjoyable game. Stand out performers were Chaplow and Lambert, whilst De Ridder looks like he could be awesome once he settles in a bit more. However, Dickson and Guly were shocking and Seaborne, despite winning his fair share of headers, just doesn't look commanding enough to ever be first choice. A good win, and it always felt like we had another gear we could have moved up into. Hammond was quality when he came on.
  11. Saint Lard, you really pi5s me off. I mean, how hard is it to press the space bar after the comma key? Sort it out mate ffs
  12. I know. My opinions are totally 'out there'. Like it or lump it sister
  13. We shouldn't play David Connolly because he has a past history of injuries.
  14. Spot on!
  15. You can choose your friend's what? (people on this forum really need to learn about apostrophes)
  16. Oh well. Good luck to him. Although I really think we've done better out of this deal! Well done Nicola!
  17. When I first saw it I thought it was Matt Crocker, the Academy manager. Looks a bit like him: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2086644,00.html
  18. I watched the game at 2am after getting in from work. I was really impressed with how we played, particularly our organisation when Leeds had the ball and we pressed them very well. Cork was superb and was my MoM, with special mentions to Lallana, Hammond and Richardson. I thought Martin did OK, he clearly has the ability but I felt as though he needed to back himself more. He was slightly nervous which was understandable I guess, but it will be interesting to see how he develops over the season. Only a couple of negatives: Kelvin made a cracking save from Paynter, but his distribution was appalling yesterday. The worst I've seen it for a long time. I'm sure he'll sort it out though. I was slightly disappointed on occassion with how easily gave the ball away as we tried to pass our way out of tricky situations, and I think NA highlighted this in his post-match. Overall a great win and a great start to the season. The momentum is still with us!
  19. 3 pages along, and you can guarantee that the song sung today will be 'there's only one Steve De Ridder...'
  20. I don't understand how people can be comparing Cortese to Lowe? NC has turned the club round, upgraded the facilities, sanctioned the signings of quality players like Lambert, Fonte and Cork, has kept the club's business private to ensure we do things the right way, and most importantly he talked a very kind billionaire into saving our club. Lowe signed Darren Kenton. Being on the front cover of the programme is a bit much, but tbh Cortese has earned the chance to blow his own trumpet a bit!
  21. Great post, well said.

    You are a ****. A funny **** mind!
  23. Pretty confident about my team tbh. You guys have no chance against the mighty Noel Edmonds!
  24. 2. for me. I can see us around 12th at Christmas, and then some investment in January in areas that we are looking weak should see us make a strong late surge and finish in the play-offs.
