I watched the ball from Davis to Redmond and how the Huddersfield defenders were set up with my own eyes, thanks. But to avoid the hot air of me saying one thing and you saying another on here, I thought that a call to another source might be useful. A source that surely has no bias either way in concern to Davis... unlike you.

JWP passes backwards and sideways far more often than Davis. In fact, I'd say that unlike the majority of our side, the 1st thing Davis does on receiving the ball is either get his head up to pass forward, or try to drive forward with the ball.

I'd go for almost the same side, but Long in for Redmond. Play Boufal on the left, Davis in the middle and Long on the right.

I don't often agree with what you write, but in this case you're on the money. It's not working with Tadic and Redmond. I would have Long and Boufal come in for them. It can't go much worse, in terms of attacking output.

It depends on the system. Pochettino, one of the best managers in the Premier League, was more than happy to have Davis play the role I mentioned.

He did the simple things far better than Redmond. The thing is, in a group of 3 attacking midfielders with Davis, he is the one supposed to do the simple stuff and link play, to help enable the other 2 attacking midfielders and the striker to get the ball and do their thing. And also to link the defense/defensive midfield with the attack. He did all that just fine. Redmond and Tadic are supposed to provide some kind of creative spark. Which they continued to fail abysmally at.

Apparently Bertrand is also sad that he doesn't have VVD to hold his hand these days. He looks empty inside.

And yet, he was by far the best of the 3 supporting the striker today. That said, the competition was awful (Redmond) and absent (Tadic).

Please MP, drop Tadic and Redmond for Boufal and Long. I can't take much more of the former two. Long changed the complexion of the game today and he think he could really help create space and opportunities for Gabbiadini. Boufal can't be much worse than Tadic has been this season, as the creative spark.

He has to play with Redmond in front of him. Enough said.

Get Boufal and Long on for Tadic and Redmond for the 2nd half. The latter two have been awful, anonymous, and don't deserve to be in the starting line up at the moment. (Hopefully I'll be wrong and they'll combine to score the winner)

We did get lucky, but mainly because Zabaleta decided to change the game so decisively in injury time - not because the ref decided to. It's a blatant push, and any decent ref who sees it has to give the penalty. Chance quality and lateness in the game are irrelevant.

Good news for us, he's a decent player and one of their leaders. Hopefully some confusion caused by a late change in their defence will help us to score at home at last!

I agree with everything you say, except the idea that Tadic is pacy. He has a lot of attributes, but pace isn't one of them.
