A little before we scored the Spanish commentators were talking about how good Cedric's crossing is!
-
Gol!
-
It always sounds better than it is in Spanish. That said, I'm not at all familiar with a lot of the words used by the Andalucian commentators, which is probably for the best because this way I can imagine we're playing better than we are.

I can't believe there would be more than one stream for our away St Etienne match at that ****ty little ground, and yet no streams for today, the most important friendly before the season gets underway. Makes no sense.
-
The stream posted by Leo_ARG above is much better. Improved camera angles and replays etc, and very steady. \ Good to see the replays of Gabbi's goal too. Lovely cheeky header.

We'll score a goal dans quelques instants.

Word on the grapevine is that saint lard is the real problem behind it all.

Is there an away goals rule for this one? -
Hey dude, whereabouts in Argentina are you? I'm in Buenos Aires. I get pretty decent quality streams on my computer for most of the games

I thought Clasie put in a very good shift, besides his wayward shooting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At some point you'll hopefully come to accept that you've been a bit of a **** when it comes to your tiresome and persistent criticism of Davis on here. It's almost like you've become a parody of yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think that Hojbjerg would do a decent job there covering in Romeu's absence, if necessary.

Going by your logic, there is one gap to be filled in January, not now.
-
So, Puel would prefer to over complicate things to justify his salary, as opposed to building a new system to win games and justify it? Of course. Koeman is gone, Mane and Pelle are gone, we're not going to play the same formation. Puel is bringing his style to the team, and I'm liking the look of it more and more. Give it time and stop moaning.
-
He's the left sided striker in a diamond formation where the strikers are expected to track back down the wings. He was still able to get in several scoring positions in this formation on Thursday and today. Puel is clearly going to persevere with this formation, and it's starting to click, so why are you and others constantly banging on about playing a formation with a centre forward, when that's not going to happen any time soon. It's pointless.

So...? All that tells me is that England did won by a 1 goal margin higher in the 2nd half compared to the 1st. Again, doesn't sound all that bad in the first half.
-
I didn't watch the game, but the diamond looked pretty poor in a 1st half that ended 2-0 to England? Can't have been all bad.

THEVMAN is Jordan Henderson???

I like the idea of trying either Long or Redmond as the number 10 (perhaps interchanging through the match), to have a bit more pace/running/pressing through the middle. Would also allow us to give Austin a start, and I think he deserves a run in the team from the start, as no one else in our squad has the kind of goalscoring record he does. We could bring Tadic on if it's a tight game and we end up struggling to unlock their defense. Perhaps at the expense of Davis, to go more attacking. ..............Forster................ Cedric...Fonte...Van Dijk...Targett/Bertrand ...............Romeu................ .......Höjbjerg.......Davis....... .............Long/Redmond........ ...Redmond/Long......Austin.... Subs: McCarthy, Pied, Yoshida, Bertrand/Targett, Clasie, Tadic, J Rod
-
I like the idea of a diamond, but we really need a better number 10 to be able to implement it. Tadic doesn't yet seem entirely comfortable there, compared to his preferred position on the left. Or, if we do persist with Tadic, we at least need another player who can compete with him for that position. Ideally someone with a little more pace and power to his game, in addition to creativity. Mane would have been perfect!

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day

I heard we were offered Messi on loan for a year but Les turned it down because he's only 5 ft 7 and he didn't want another Juanmi situation.
