  1. Down here in rural Somerset, we use badgers to paint the white lines!
  2. Cortese's only doing what any self-respecting newspaper editor would do ie. out-scooping his rivals to the advantage of his own 'electronic' newspaper. Consider your mojo unscrewed and neatly ironed.
  3. You starin' at my rhododendrons?
  4. Lucky you. The hedgehog and the tree are having 'musical differences' and I fear a split may ensue.
  5. I'm currently gigging with a hedgehog and an old oak tree.
  6. I buy stuff from the Army Navy stores, mostly for work. If a war suddenly breaks out, i'm ready.
  7. I'd already been into the next band of which you speak, but moved on before you'd thought of the band I'd first thought of before I had.
  8. Yeah, well said. I'm really into this band that hasn't actually been formed yet. They're going to be the best thing ever, but I will cease liking them after their first album because they will sell out to 'the man'.
  9. I go by train from Yeovil Junction, book in advance for cheapo tickets.
  10. Give 'Misfits' a go - channel 4 saturday 10pm. I think this is the 1st series repeated which will run into the new series. It's 'Heroes' with London chavs!
  11. No, sorry, there isn't time.
  12. With Michael Owen in the boot.
  13. Cheers old boy. If you're ever round Taunton way you simply must drop in for afternoon tea.
  14. Oh No, we will be forced to 'look where we're going'! Cortese out!
  15. Just for your information, and I understand that this may not be suitable for your group, but you can get from Andover to Southampton in just over 1 hour from Andover by train, changing at Salisbury, and the cost is £13.90 return. Bus direct to the ground. http://www.thetrainline.com/buytickets/combinedmatrix.aspx?Command=TimeTable
  16. No it wasn't, Iffy as Fook was substituted at half time.
  17. He is excellent. FACT.
  18. It's all in the head. Why Brazil and not Equador? - why Holland and not Scotland or Belgium (small population examples)?
  19. I'm watching it now. As a professional archaeologist I would say that Mark's series are by far and away the best presented IA programmes so far. Most know of our Fred (Dibnah) and he did well in unveiling the industrial world to the general public, but never really got away from the 'cult of Fred'. Adam Hart Davis started the ball rolling really, with his 'Heroes' series, and Chris Barrie's series are very good too. But Mark combines an excellent level of technical detail with an engaging and clear delivery style which sticks, and a bit of 'Fast Show' madness thrown in! As an aside I have had the pleasure of sharing a pint with Fred and have appeared in one Of Chris Barrie's series (The 1930's).

  21. Heaven knows - football's a 'funny old game' consisting of 90 halves played over 2 minutes. Anything could happen and probably does. I don't play these footy computer games but I would have thought you could set that team up against the same teams we played in SA.
  22. Love is the drug - Roxy Music. Takes me instantly back to a night in the South Western pub outside Winchester station in 1977 when we all said goodnight to each other and rode home on our motorbikes. Next day I found out that my mate had been killed on his way home, thrown from his bike in Springvale. First time I'd lost anyone close.
  23. Would you like it in pictures? - or maybe mime?
  24. Any good? You can tell by the blurry hedge that she has a fair turn of speed I'll wager.
