Reading 4-4-2 magazine - Patrick Kluivert waiting for offers from England! Doing his coaching badges at the moment but does not want to retire just yet. Sounds stupid but Lawrie did stuff like that and he's Dutch if Wotte stays

What a back 4 they'd make

SSN showing action clips. If this counts as a Sky match then we've had it! -
I've found him doctor, he'd broken into an internet cafe and he's posting random messages on a football club web forum. There, nurse, put the straight jacket on - easy now Mr Lowe, take the nice medication and you'll soon be back in your 'happy place'

We would all hide behind his chair and then pick him up by his collar and administer said boot. He would fly through the window and follow an arcing tragectory in to the Itchen, never to surface again. With knowing smiles we would all then go quietly about our business and all would be serene and good.

I remember that game. I was working at the Ordnance Survey and we emptied the office. I seem to remember we hit the post about a thousand times and lost by 2 breakaway goals.

Here it is, but again ambiguous as per date of the actual statement. From The Jewish Chronicle Exclusive by Danny Caro July 2, 2009 Follow the JC on Twitter Michael Fialka explains why Pinnacle are no longer bidding for Southampton. 'Yesterday, myself and my Consortium publicly withdrew from being the front runners for our proposed takeover of Southampton Football Club. ‘We advised our advisers of this decision, and the basis of that decision, and they in turn made our stance known. Let me be clear that in publicly withdrawing our offer based on the conditions that I understood needing to be met, we did not, nor have lost our interest in the Club. Moreover, we felt that it was necessary to make this decision for the good of the Club, in the event that another interested party were better placed or willing to complete the takeover on the basis of the terms on offer. That decision has not changed. ‘However, I was very pleased to learn today that the Football League have made it known that, in the event of a takeover, no further sanctions will be issued to Southampton Football Club. With that in mind, we were advised by Pinnacle today to reconsider our position, and we are now looking at this. In the event of a successful completion, we remain of the opinion that we will have the support of the fans, which of course is crucial. It is deeply regrettable that matters have not yet been concluded, but as confirmed by the Administrators, this is a complex transaction, and if we do proceed, we need to be certain that everything has been looked at and the good of the Club is put first. ‘I hope today’s events result in a successful takeover now being possible - but if this does not happen, we hope that whoever buys the Club will be able to deliver what the fans deserve.’ Last updated: 12:02pm, July 2 2009

Agreed. Is it possible for one of the ITK posters on here to make some kind of 'formal' request from the fans -at least to get the club's angle on it anyway.
-
That's how I see it too - still, I feel it won't come to that.

*the other reason? My mother (pregant with me at the time !!) was at Wembley on the greatest day in Saints history so had a soft spot for them :-) Did you have a ticket? I guess that means the attendance figure is incorrect

I've travelled a lot around the UK due to my job and generally being of an itinerant nature. I've always been Saints cos I grew up in Hampshire and they are the only team I'll ever love. However, I have always gone to watch my local team so I have an affinity with - Weymouth - lived there for 4 years Taunton town - my parents lived there Hearts/Hibs -I lived in Edinburgh for 6 years and would go to see Saints when they travelled north to Newcastle etc. Queen's Park - lived in Glasgow near Hampden Park for 9 years. Couldn't be a*rsed with the Celtic/Rangers thing although I did go now and then. Whenever I left the ground after watching one of these teams I would always want to know how Saints got on as soon as possible. Out of all those teams, if I were to pick one it would be Hearts, but none of them inspire the emotional attachment that saints do, and none ever will!

Is this an all ticket match? Can't find anything on the OS.

Yeah, young Stanley Matthews would drop the shoulder and skin him no fear

Having read the article again, I am convinced this is old news dressed up as new and is out of date as of yesterday.

27.04.68 - Wolves at home 1-1. for some stupid reason I decided to support Wolves. I made a 'WOLVES' placard on cardboard (no merchandising then - DIY) and safety pinned it to my anorak. It rained on the way into Winchester Station and dissolved. By the end of the match I was Saints through and through!
