What are they supposed to do? Have a bit more gumption dealing with the crisis when it began, not starting now. They should have been strong enough to resist the bulk of the exodus (if they really wanted to keep most of them). We needed a statement and we got it. It was very confident and smooth and charming. I hope it was genuine, but personally I think it was waffle to keep the masses appeased and an attempt to deflect the anger when more players leave.

Don't think I've ever agreed with Alpine before, but this, although a little harshly worded, is about right IMO.

Same as before. Only time will tell before the window shuts. Personally feel this was still an asset strip in lieu to sell and the players we get in will cost much less/be lesser standard than those we sold. The main problem now is finding players without super inflated prices. The jrod/morgan line in the sand has been drawn to appease fans but if the club genuinely wanted to build and push on it would have been drawn a long time ago. Good interview by Blackmore though, but not much learnt.

What has "if i were a player wanting to better my career, what would you do?" got to do with the recent actions, decision making and ambitions of our owner and board? And on another thread, Clyne appears to be next.....

During the limited time i had when I was back in England last, went down this way too. Keep driving after the ferry and beach gets you to Corfe castle which is a brilliant place.

Anywhere from Paignton all round the peninsula to Bigbury-on-sea is nice. What about Dartmouth? Close enough to beaches.
