  1. I'm thinking it was originally tongue in cheek, surely.
  2. Same as before. Only time will tell before the window shuts. Personally feel this was still an asset strip in lieu to sell and the players we get in will cost much less/be lesser standard than those we sold. The main problem now is finding players without super inflated prices. The jrod/morgan line in the sand has been drawn to appease fans but if the club genuinely wanted to build and push on it would have been drawn a long time ago. Good interview by Blackmore though, but not much learnt.
  3. What has "if i were a player wanting to better my career, what would you do?" got to do with the recent actions, decision making and ambitions of our owner and board? And on another thread, Clyne appears to be next.....
  4. During the limited time i had when I was back in England last, went down this way too. Keep driving after the ferry and beach gets you to Corfe castle which is a brilliant place.
  5. Anywhere from Paignton all round the peninsula to Bigbury-on-sea is nice. What about Dartmouth? Close enough to beaches.
  6. 18 years ago to the day that TWA 800 fell out of the sky. Pap, thoughts?
  7. LOL, things haven't looked rosy for many weeks now, for anyone looking in from the outside... Getting better now though, COYRs
  8. IN - Wally Prat Plonker OUT - **** ****er Mother****er ****face ****
  9. I'm surprised she gets foxnews airtime. Even the right wingers i know think she's a thick crazy gob****e.
  10. I only met him once very briefly after league one promotion. Luckily had a better experience, found him chatty and pleasant, bit cocky, but this was before 'the change'. Ricky on the other hand was much more down to earth, amiable and genuine (this seems to be the consensus from those who've met him.) I dunno, has ricky ever been a twat to anyone?
  11. Always thought she looked a bit 'manlike' myself
  12. I had to google him. Cool!
  13. He could compose our new anthem
  14. "That is what I think of that"
  15. If true, this exodus has to stop now. Morgan can go next year. This is mental. How can we expect to lose the entire backbone of the team and have replacements settle in to keep us going.
  16. "We can sell one star player a year. Luke is off this year, maybe your turn will come next year, but until then, play for the club you signed for. Now **** off."
  17. Is it you with Theo's missus?
  18. Entirely off-topic, but Jonnyboy, has the subject of your avatar ever been discussed? WTF is it? It's horrible...
  19. Second that. Fly to Pisa, see tower, get car and make your way up to Venice. Hilltop Tuscan villa as a base for a few days to explore Florence, Lucca, Siena etc.
  20. Yep, penultimate episode time again, didn't disappoint either!
  21. Gutted....
  22. Spit on the owner's desk, walk out and never return....................turn to page 396 Issue an ultimatum demanding an extra 25M or you quit..............turn to page 250 Tell them you'll consider and leave through the door on the left....turn to page 115
  23. Good app isn't it if a little geeky...got to collect those badges! It is good to keep track of stuff you've tried though and to see how much beer mates are guzzling...
  24. Looks as though Spitfire is distributed by Moosehead north of the border, you should call them to get some ideas where they distribute to. True. Goose island company brewers recently visited a local pub here and all they brought with them for samples were alcohol heavy 'bourbon' and Belgian ales. Honkers is ok and the most common 'English' ale to be found on tap where I am. There are better examples out there but as you say, the willingness to produce it on the same scale as aggressive IPAs is just not there, for now.
  25. Have you tried places like Bevmo online? Be far cheaper getting it delivered domestically than having it imported (not sure they sell spitfire though). Luckily I've got Total Wine in town which sell a pretty good range of English booze, although I go for the craft domestic stuff meself. There are quite a lot of US breweries offering English styles as well.
