Saints sign Sam Gallagher from Plymouth on Youth Contract

Signing a youth player from Plymouth? -
Pointless excuse. Blackpool played it on the ground enough without too many problems. Pitch didn't look all that bad. What is our natural game that we weren't able to play because of the pitch?

George Galloway wins Bradford West byelection - fluke or...

Just seen the pictures of him being lifted up by his supporters after winning, looks like a scene from down town Lahore. -

You think just because people vote it means multiculturalism hasn't failed. One of the opening posts on here quoted the 'Muslim vote'. It's his main support, look where he's had success. The fact that it can be described as and targeted as 'a Muslim vote' says plenty about the lack of success of multiculturalism. -
It's the sort of thing grown men seem to do these days for some reason. Write on the internet 'happy birthday' to someone who has unfortunately been dead for 18 months, that they've never met before, so that other people they don't know and have never met the man before can read it and also write 'happy birthday' as well.

Stupid thread. We've got plenty of games of football over the next month if you REALLY want someting to talk about so much.

I wonder why he won this election? The "Muslim vote"? F**k me I feel sorry for the handful of non-Muslim people left in Bradford. -
So its confirmed only £5m to buy club? Shift the high earners off in the summer and they might be in with a chance.

Don't be so utterly stupid.

NC and AP didn't get on as people, it's as simple as that. I wouldn't agree that we play particularly more attractive football under NA than AP. Particularly the 2nd half of this season, our strength has been grinding out results and being ruthless with the chances we have, winning games however we can, as Adkins has said many times himself and that's how it should be. I'd imagine pretty much every academy in the country tries to get their kids knocking about on the deck these days. Like I say, we do knock it around well at times, but lets not pretend there is anything remotely like the "Southampton Way".
-
No-one, including NC is particularly @rsed about our style of play. If we win games we're happy. Some on here seem to think we play this amazing slick, passing football, the "Southampton Way", the next Barcelona and West Ham are a mid 1980's Wimbledon. We play some decent stuff at times, but we're nothing exceptional at all in that regard. If you offered NC winning ugly and being top or playing pretty football and being mid-table what do you think he'd take. Everyone in football would "like" to be known for playing with great style, but its a fair way down the priority list.

No I actually go and watch us play
-
Read his post. "The style of play" "If the aim was just to get to the prem, we'd have more than likely just done a west hoof and bought a load of lumps that score and got in allardyce to manage us."

All very, very naive.

That's a normal Tuesday night out for the student bum.

So don't bother looking at anything financial while NC is here? Strange approach. He's doing a great job, but fans should still be aware and conscious of what is going on at their club. Also, just because NC is still here, doesn't necessarily mean the Liebherrs are happy with everything. -
Yeah just go down the usual route then, no great hassle.

Shouldn't be a problem getting a seat on those trains. Going via Paddington can be alright, depends which bit of London you live in really.

New ticketing system and oyalty points next season
Sour Mash replied to sifter's topic in The Saints
But like you say Germany/Switzerland/Holland where I've seen these systems in use, there is no option for cash, even for away fans. That loses money, as I can't be bothered with the cost and hassle of sorting one out just to buy a quick drink as a one off. -

Agree on this. IF it's done well, it is very useful. Problem is for away fans, doubt I'd bother at away games buying a card, getting i topped up etc, I'd recommend they remain cash tills. -
So let's just get this straight. You think all pubs in town are going to be closed? Not for the first or last time on here, you are wrong.
