Tiemoue Bakayoko... Monaco Defensive Midfielder
Foxstone replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
Watched the Nice v Monaco match while on holiday, Nice won easily and Bakayoko did not stand out at all... Anyway the way Romeu is playing at the moment, I cannot see how anybody else can get a look in. -
It sounds as though you are never too old to enjoy a new experience... Games like this is why we worked so hard to qualify for this competition in the first place, and to give the supporters trips to remember. I would have loved to have been there to experience it myself.

Good man... Agree
-
Never once felt that we were in any danger.. Once we scored we were always going to win it. Great result away from home.. West Ham may be poor right now but it is still a 3-0 win on their turf MOTM - Redmond, Bertrand and Cedric put in a real shift but I liked Hojberg in the middle - Always in control and made the media darling Noble look a complete novice.
-
We,ve all been wrong before...
-
What Jack Wheelchair !!!??? He is Darren Anderton re-incarnate. No thanks..
-
Absolutely no problem with this.. Totally sensible signing to make - A third string keeper with a reasonable background.
-
Spot On ! You work hard enough to get in it, so then go on and win it! And have some great new experiences along the way that us fans can remember for years ahead.
-
Agree - At best a Belgian version of Joey Barton... He will add very little to us If we are to go shopping at Anderlecht then at least we should try for Tielemans...
-
That's another of the Evertonian demand list shut down to them... Funny isn't it !
-
Perhaps added to that... The so called Grand Old Club of Everton are not recruiting very well at all - Despite a supposed money tree to spend...Even the current champions Leicester could not hold onto Kante, and Mahrez is,nt assured of starting next season for them yet by many a long chalk. Nothing wrong with our set up at all - It's just for now, the so called Glory names will prevail.
-
Hojberg is anything but a squad player... I have seen him play and he is a class act. Schooled at Bayern and only prevented from playing more often due to them switching Lahm into the midfield and also having Martinez, Alcantara and Vidal in there too.. The lad will do very, very well for us..
-
Both Tielemans and Bastian are aged 19 - The former is a mainstay in the Anderlecht midfield and already called up at senior level for Belguim. Bastien sent on loan to Serie B Avellino. I think Tielemans is already fulfilling his potential when a similar aged Bastian seems well behind him currently.
-
That's a good choice as Back-Up keeper... Worth landing this one. As for Bastian - I would be happier with Tielemans who seems to have greater potential

I wouldn't think Cedric will be a second string, but I do wonder whether they might consider playing him further forward given he is fairly creative, and has an excellent first touch.. Trippier is a very decent right back - I was impressed by him the last time Burnley played at SMS (The game that Fraser knackered his knee) and he was their one player who caused us problems.. Fast, fit and a good delivery of a cross - Defends pretty well too.. I was just speculating that they might be looking at a different way of strengthening rather than lashing out loads of money on a right sided forward player, the quality of which might not be there.. Certainly I am not particularly convinced by all this Boufal talk !
-
I like Trippier - Fine player with an excellent cross (better than Cedric's in my opinion). I wondered whether the management feel Cedric can player further forward on the right hand side, he is a very accomplished player who could play in most positions and by doing this, could free up the right back slot for another acquisition, like Trippier. Might be a better acquisition doing things this way than searching for another wide right (and much more expensive ) player... By the way - Please let us sign Kaputska ;0)
-
No THanks - Might as well sign John Parkin !!!
-
Agree - Great potential in this lad
-
Parabens not only to our skipper but to both of our Portuguese Saints - They deserve one hell of a welcome at our first home match this coming season...
-
A snip for a very talented young lad... I do hope we are considering this guy.
-
Could not agree more...
-
Agree - Dost is a modern day Markus Allback in my view...
-
I would Rather we spend some of that £14m to sign Kaputska from Cracovia
-
Adam Nagy has been linked with us for a few weeks now, apparently put on hold while Claude assessed the squad... Energetic player with a good pass, but likely to be bullied in the PL I fear - he would need to acquire a bit more power and strength to be effective for us. Still hoping we can get Kaputska though.. he does look a prospect!
