Whenever I’ve seen him it looks to me like he hides a little. What I mean is he looks like he gets in decent positions but isn’t available to receive a pass so isn’t an option for whoever has the ball.

Ive obviously misunderstood the point of a forum. I thought it was to exchange views on players, matches, the club, the opposition etc. Football is all about opinions. Self righteous buggers coming on here when the team are having a good run is laughable. If a player gets slated it doesn’t mean those slating them are anti that player. I’m not a huge fan of Stephens, but of late he’s played well, good for him, good for the club and good for the supporters. Not being a fan of his doesn’t mean I’m sat in the stands and hoping he’ll **** up to prove my opinions right because he is representing Southampton and therefore we all want him and any other player to do well. But if players aren’t performing what’s the point of a forum if you can’t discuss it with other fans without being branded as “anti” this, “anti” that ?

Had to laugh when he commented that the ball boys had been well trained to slow the game down. Bloody hell, up to about 6 weeks ago the ball boys were the fastest ones on the pitch !!

Listened to first half coming back from St Mary’s and even Willo on Solent was struggling to put any positive spin on tonight’s performance.

Pearson will get Watford out of this, he’s done it before and although Man United blow hot and very cold they looked decent in beating them. Norwich and Villa have to carry on as they are then if we are to get out of it Bournemouth, Brighton and possibly Palace cos they don’t score many. Everton will be ok and if people seriously think Sheffield United will go all to hell that much then, well you can dream I suppose. I would love it to be Bournemouth and even though it appears that the Eddie Howe love in has hit a bump or two I expect they’ll get a surprise couple of results to edge them clear.
