  1. What to visit West Quay for his Christmas shopping?
  2. This is the fourth manager in a row where the default setting has been this slow, turgid side pass, back pass weird triangle thing the team performs. As already stated these stats are crap, 57% possession and I bet at least 70% of that was the side/back pass shuffle in the defensive third of the pitch. Two quotes from Ralph were particularly worrying, the one about being taken by surprise by the West Ham long ball.....actually that’s more inept than just worrying. How can you not know what the opposition do? Hey Ralph, watch Neville and Carragher on Sky’s MNF, they give you pretty big bloody clues !! The other quote was about “this isn’t a step backwards”.........oh really? What is it then? I hope Redmond getting the hook at half time acts as a kick up his ass. Next step bring back Romeu for Captain Fantastic. If PEH was being looked at by big European teams as was suggested 9 months ago I bet their scouts have saved a bloody fortune on air fares this season. No doubt January’s transfer window will bring the usual sound bites about strengthening and we end up maybe bringing in someone we haven’t heard of on the 31 January, if at all. We won’t bring in two competent central defenders or a right back or a holding midfielder or anyone who will radically improve the team. It will be nothing or more of the same. The team selection against Villa will probably be the same starting eleven as of late, Villa will rub their hands with glee at the chance to pull themselves away from immediate danger, we will perform better cos we do that away, as we slip to an unlucky but all too predictable 2-1 defeat, or 2-0 depending on Ings getting a decent chance. Ralph will bemoan our luck, a player, probably PEH or JWP will sound bite the fkin obvious abd we just stumble on to the next game doing exactly the same things with exactly the same end results etc etc etc....
  3. Well Romeu should be picked ahead of PEH every bloody week
  4. With the exception of Danny Ings and possibly Djenepo the rest of them can just **** off. If Ralph seriously believes this “settled team” is good enough he’s got a screw loose.
  5. not at all, the alternative is to slash your wrists in desperation
  6. West Ham collapsed worse than we normally do tonight.
  7. Apparently we cant criticise him now cos he tries and he cares The fact hes still absolute **** doesnt seem to matter !

    Che Adams

He looked quite busy when he came on against Norwich but apart from that I’ve seen very little to impress. I am only going by home matches however where the whole team has been pretty woeful so it’s not fair to judge on that. Hopefully he just needs that first goal to take off confidence wise at least.
  9. Highbury 1984 - 35 bloody years and it still kills me ! The Bent equaliser for Everton in 05 comes close. If I could make an honourable mention for Oldham in the League Cup in about 86 or 87.....it wasn’t so much the goal as referee Roger fkin Milford and his broken watch allowing a ridiculous amount of injury time. The bastard.
  10. That was my feeling too. The defensive substitutions invited pressure that we just aren’t any good at defending. Has the manager not noticed that yet ? They had two great chances to get a point at the end. Had they done so Ralph would have been crucified on here.
  11. Exactly, says it all if you have to go back two and a half years to remember a game where he played well
  12. Is that so? Wow, and Eddie’s changed the style so they don’t even score many now !
  13. I suspect Redmond is one of the undroppable ones in Ralph's thinking
  14. ”He’s always a concern” Oh I love that, ain’t that just the truth and a very polite way of putting it too
  15. I can’t believe after two summers and three transfer windows we are still having to pick a player of Stephen’s ability, or lack of rather. The sheer incompetence of going all this time without addressing the problem is a disgrace.
  16. Anyone who’s opinion is different to yours you mean
  17. Absolutely this
  18. Hardly. Where’s he been in the last few squads? In the past year there are quite a few players that have overtaken him, Mason Mount being the latest one. You are stretching the definition of fringes a bit ! It annoys me that if you criticise JWP some will come on here and start rambling on about hate campaign etc. Utter bollicks. We all see the game differently and I for one thought he was abysmal last night. Yep the free kick was great and won the game but the one he had before that in an ideal position was crap ! Doesn’t mean I hate him, just means I don’t particularly rate him, I’m still after all these years none the wiser as to what his best position is, it certainly isn’t as one of the two central midfielders. Would he be or look better with a good player next to him? Maybe but we aren’t in a position to see that at the moment. And all this “people who know about football pick him” stuff is very very selective memory rubbish. The truth is every single manager up to now with the exception I think of Puel has picked him for a good run of games then at some point dropped him back to the bench or out of the squad. It’s a fact, check the record books. Do you honestly believe if the people “that know” thought he was any good he would still be here ? I hope he hits a purple patch like he did last season, for his sake but most of all for ours because he’s obviously going to be picked every week and we can’t afford any more bloody under performers than we’ve got in that squad already.
  19. He didn’t have a good game, nobody did really, let’s not let three points paper over the cracks. JWP and PEH is the weakest central midfield partnership in the league by a country mile.
  20. People seem to have watched a better and different JWP than I did. The one trick pony’s one trick came off and he scored which I guess is why he gets picked. The number of sideways and backwards passes, the way he slows play down, I thought he was bloody dreadful, as was PEH and Stephens....oh and Cedric
  21. I see the club are still peddling this “Southampton Way” ********. I thought they had quietly buried that one.
  22. You should be writing for Eastenders with storylines like that - genius......totally unbelievable but briliant all the same
  23. I think Obafemi has something about him and is worth persevering with, just hope his injury issues are behind him. There is no way that was his miss in the second half, in terms of putting the chance on the plate Cedric completely screwed it up.
