Club have already shown they are not in the market for competing in the top 6. As soon as Koeman walked that was it. Managers, players, both second rate additions to the club, Hughes has lifited both the players and supporters. He should get the job. Dont forget Ralph’s interview from January - we are a small club again now.

after yet another non performance as a starter on Tuesday night he will be back on the bench. He can come on and impress Pep for the last 20 mins or so.

Does this indicate no end of season awards night this year ? They wouldn’t have the nerve to hold one surely

What if Swansea make up 9-point goal difference?

Yeah BBC Sport breaking news about 15 mins ago. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44064957 Why the hell would you announce that three days before the last match ? Seriously ? And we think have some numpties running this club -

Given they have just told their manager Sunday is his last game come what may dont worry yourselves too much about any of the coaching team/players giving a ****. Any vaguely slim chance they had just got a whole lot slimmer !! -
God knows, City have hardly torn Brighton to shreds and Swansea ? Scored 2 in 8 games and you think they will score 6,7 or 8 in 90 minutes ?
-
Similar in many ways to Gordon Strachan. People were either very unsure or just plain didnt want him either. That worked out ok :-)
-
It’s quite funny to see that before the game people were saying a point wouldn’t be the end of the world cos we could beat a City team with nothing to play for. Now people are ****ting themselves that we will lose about 7-0 !!!
-
I would think keeping him would be a no brainer.......but as there isn’t a brain in the boardroom who knows ?

Wow! It looks like we are staying up! :)

exactly and all the players, unlike the fans, love Wenger. -

I still think it will be Huddersfield. Chelsea need to win tomorrow unlike Man City last Sunday. Then I think Arsenal will want to send Wenger off with a win. -
The Hoedt and Stephens combo are giving me guts ache to put it politely
-
I’m desperately hoping the less than warm welcome to Swansea that the club have received backfires big time. I believe that would be called Karma ! Cheating ****ers
-
just about to post this ! dirty, cheating bastards. If the players weren’t determined before they bloody well should be now !!
-
Feel for Abbott and Edwards. Just when they think they’ve earned a rest and put the team in a strong position they are going out to bat after another collapse.
-
I never expected to find myself saying this but I would start with Redmond. They struggled with pace against Bournemouth, so tell him when he gets the ball just run at them direct. When he doesn’t have to think he’s better
-
it really is that simple yes. But this is Saints so you just know we will need something from the City game.
-
The comment about Moss being 30 yards away is fairly accurate, they only need look at the replays. He will get done for the “getting his breath back” remark. Its pathetic really. It’s a rule that managers have to face the press minutes after a game finishes when emotions are at their highest then a couple if wrong words and boom, a fine.
-
No, he will respect the Premier League and play his best available team. He may not in Cup matches but he has never compromised the integrity of the league.
-
great post and very very good point about Tuesday had we won yesterday.
-
seems you haven’t grasped basic maths either :-)
-
To be honest we are in a much better position with two games left than I dared hope for about three weeks ago. To win on Tuesday which will as good as make us safe is something I would have grabbed with both hands after the Chelsea result.
-
To be fair you could have said most of that even if we had won against Everton. Any positive result for Swansea would have either left them two points behind or put them one point ahead and with each teams last match they would have been favourites. If we win they will need to turn round at least an 8 goal difference, not very likely.
-
Only if the win is against Swansea, unless we think Arsenal will definitely beat Huddersfield. Two wins and yeah we are fine :-)
-
I think he’s going for a point then put all the eggs in the beating Swansea basket. Win or draw we will still need to beat Swansea with that Man City game left and Swansea home to Stoke on the same day.
