You do realise that with the exception of the New Carvery these suites have been in place since 1 May 2009 dont you ? The Carvery thing since December 2009. This seems to me what they are called when you decide which deal you want on matchdays - I dont see where or how it says the suites named after MLT, Channon and Paine have lost their name as such. Besides can we just remember that when this supposed atrocity went on the OS Cortese was still over 2 months away from becoming Chairman of SFC !!

David Connolly still listed. Heres hoping

You may be right about James but Thomson hardly set the world alight at Torquay. In fact wasn't he dropped for their run in last season ? I would imagine Tisdale is taking a cheap gamble with Jake.

Mass rush expected for season tickets tomorrow?
beatlesaint replied to Liquidshokk's topic in The Saints
Cant argue with that. People on here can dress it up all they like but the bottom line is the club haven't done a bloody thing to encourage Season Ticket sales. Perhaps there is a master plan and it will all become clear in time but at present it just looks like an absolute marketing balls up. -
Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.

Quite right. We are allowed to question certain things surely, such as the Season Ticket renewal policy and lack of advertising etc etc. I noticed on the back page of the Bournemouth Echo today there is a red banner at the bottom with the date and times of all Bournemouth's pre-season fixtures, sort of a cut out and keep so if anyone wants to pop along they know when games are. What have we done ? Announced one for definite with others shrouded in mystery. Why ? They must know by now who they are playing and when FFS...or is it going to be like the kit launch where they announced it just barely 24 hours in advance. Talk about giving people chance to arrange their day etc etc. The more notice people get the more inclined people are to warm to the idea of going to something, thats basic marketing. The vale of secrecy when we were told everything was going to be more transparent is a puzzle, and I dont understand the thinking or logic behind it. -

Under 14's, if accompanied by an adult go free. So if you get their ticket over the phone does free turn into 3 ? -

Bournemouth League Cup **Ticket Details Announced**
beatlesaint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I am right in thinking that Bournemouth would have a say in the pricing policy for this match as it is a Cup game ? -
Indeed, the irony is quite incredible. Tell me, how many of the pre-season games have been officially announced ?

Same here, put in Customer Number, Surname and Postcode and get a log in error !

The whole sorry mess of Capello's decision making in this competition was summed up when, 3-1 down and needing goals he not only decided to bring Heskey on but he took off a striker, Defoe. Admittedly the germans scored again before the useless tub of lard got on the pitch but please, where is the sense ? Had he bought him on as an extra, and I use the word lightly, striker then thats one thing but to swap one for another was incredibally inept. And lets just remember who scores goals when bought on as a sub for England - Peter Crouch - yet Capello ignored him and went for a guy who hasnt scored since February. The players were by and large awful, no argument, BUT you cannot blame them for basic tactical **** ups like that.

No, its not an offer ! If you want to sell you could try Tracks - http://tracks.co.uk/ they buy and sell. Even if they offer you a bad deal its quite good to see how much stuff is selling for. Went to see Macca in Cardiff last night. The guy is getting better and better as he gets older. I have seen him about a dozen times since 1990 and last night and the O2 gig in December were the best two shows I have ever seen - incredible

It will be soon, most contracts end 30th June so players are then officially available, we report back to pre season 1 July and AP wants the squad together so we hit the ground running. I will be surprised if by this time next week we haven't heard of at least 2 new signings.....and hopefully confirmation that Bart and Connolly have signed new deals.
-
Sticking with the Friday theme eh ?
-
Bart wants to stay (according to the Echo)
beatlesaint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Possibly cos his current ons doesn't end until 30th June ? -
Not with our usual slow start and the Sky jinx, no :-)

If its an original German version its worth about £100 hamster !
-
WWOOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH ............there goes someone elses opinion flying clean over the top of your head ! How the hell you reached that conclusion based on what I said beggars belief. I think the growing up and non selfish "I'm alright Jack" atttitude should come from you !

Sorry but thats crap....its not lazy. Imagine you have been a season ticket holder for the past 20 or 30 years. You live outside Southampton, like you do, and are elderly and have no computer or access to one. For the past 20-30 years you have had a renewal form sent to you, you fill in that form and send it back, hey presto you have renewed your season ticket. This year you have had no renewal reminder, remember you have no access to a computer and you live 70 miles away. How do you know the prices and when you can renew by ? Now before you say "contact the club" - why the **** should you ? You are a customer, you are giving them £400 and you are paying for their product. How many other companies would work like this ? If you get your car MOT'd or serviced at Kwikfit for example the following year they will remind you and tell you how much those services will cost this year. Why is it any different ? As someone has said before people on here tend to live in a bubble. Forget us, the users of this forum, we know about the renewals, many of us have already I suspect. Just put yourself in someone elses shoes, like the guy whose Dad waits for the form. There are hundreds of people like that. Why would a company only contact 75% of their custom through one medium when they can reach 95-100% by usung another simple and relatively cheap medium ? You dont need a big glossy book, one or two sheets of A4 paper would do it - how much would it cost ? The price of 2 season tickets ? You send out a renewal reminder to all Season Ticket Holders on your database. Job done, no worries. What is so hard to grasp about that ?
-
Hope Radio Solent do their Forum at the start of the season and Cortese is on the panel. I will be e-mailing my question about the renewals and non computer using Saints fans in. Cant wait to see what the answer to the alienating a section of fans who want to give the club money is.
-
Joe Cole is better than Lampard and is certainly good enough. Gerrard is always played out of position to accomodate Lampard. WTF is it with the over paid nephew of redcrapp ?
-
Anyone remember the last time Frank Lampard had a good game for England ?
-
They have still spectacularly missed the point. If you are a Season Ticket Holder who does not have a computer and lives outside Southampton (ie outsdie the Echo's patch) how the hell are you supposed to know about renewal details when the club cannot be arsed to send out renewal forms/reminders ? It really beggars belief. The only ones who will benefit from this are people living in Southampton, if they have not renewed by the end of the month already. Have the club any idea how many season ticket holders live outside the city ? Oh yeah, they have a database dont they ? Around me there are Season Ticket Holders who come to every game from Wimborne, Weymouth, Bournemouth, Guilford, Woking and Wincanton. Several are elderly and do not have a computer......how the hell are they supposed to know about renewing and when you can claim your own seats by ? Its a bloody shambles. Its more of a disgrace, I think, than the Half Season Ticket and Installment Plan being dropped. Even Mr Lowe realised you had to make your potential customers aware by every means possible !!
