If, and I know its a big, but possible if - If we win our last 5 games we have 78 points. That means Colchester will have to win all 4 of their games cos our goal difference is far superior to theirs. Huddersfield would have to get 8 points from their last 4 games, so they either need to win 3 of them or win 2 and draw 2. Millwall and Colchester are their big games, although a trip to Exeter will not be a walk over. Come on you Saints !!

Put your money on them in the Final. They will be good odds and lets face it the number of lucky breaks they have had in every round, as well as the bending of some rules to me shows their name is on the Cup this year ! We might as well have the consolation of making a few quid off them !

I would be inclined to put a few quid on them winning the thing actually. You will get bloody good odds for them beating Chelsea cos they shouldnt stand a chance in hell. However.....an own goal at the death in the third round replay, the missed chances we had and the rather questionable rules they, ahem, didnt break including an ineligable player on the bench, the goal Birmingham scored that wasn't given, the Crouch goal in the semi that wasn't given - talk about your name being on the Cup !! My only consolation to them being in the Final would be if I could make some money off of them
-
No its not, losing in a semi final is worse every time IMHO.
-
Would be a fantastic game for Bale to curl in one of his free kicks.....TCWTB and his mates would love that !!
-
Keep him as cover and sign a quality right back in the summer.
-
No but we would have to listen to the continuous media spin and bull about their wonderful supporters etc etc and thats what annoys me most about them, cos they aint.
-
I didnt say he wasnt a good signing and I didnt say he wasnt involved in the goals scored this week, I simply pointed out that today he was greedy on more than one occasion !!

I think the fact that AP dedicated the win to the families of the two fireman and to the city in general because of the loss of those two brave men shows a lot more class than many people who have posted in this thread could ever hope to have. Well done Alan, a nice touch from a genuine man.

I must admit I cursed him many many times for being a greedy sod today and making some poor decisions. However it seems he was following instructions from AP, who admitted he got some things in his general play wrong, so fair play. At least the manager saw it, I do think he neds to be educated as to when to bring others into play however

You mean Sotonians surely ?
-
On paper this is probably Huddersfield's easiest game. They wont lose tonight, we need to look elsewhere for them to slip up.
-
Or a manager to decide which players he wants for next season
-
Not sure Huddersfield will get anything at Exeter, they aint bad at home. Alas I think the job is just a little too much......I hope we dont miss out by 2 or 3 points though, that would be really hard to take.
-
Lee Todd would have given him a good run for his money.

I cant believe I am saying this but I agree 100% with you 19C.

So should we be, the League will be easier to get out of next season if they go up this year. Teams like Huddersifeld, Swindon and Millwall are, like us i suspect, prone to a great season preceeded or followed by an average one. I would rather Leeds get out the way asap !

Strange little titbit there.....all this time he has been giving it the "With Papa, and Adam, and Rickie" stuff and as I said to my old man when we were 3 up who scored the goals ? That'll be Papa, and Adam, and Rickie !!
-
have you missed the winking thingy at the end of that line Chez ??? FFS, some people have no sense of humour, not even on a great day like this !
-
It happened only once, everytime he came on screen after that there were cheers. Thats the trouble when you get 12000 plus part timers turn up Mountains....molehills......
-
Antonio was my man of the match today, I thought if anyone was going to freeze today it could be him but he was superb. As for Papa, I would sign him, he is excellent at picking up scraps around the box, hence he was in the right place at the right time for his goal, and not for the first time this season either.

There is no way 500 people occupy a carriage of a train, they are 10 carriage long trains and that includes First Classm the Guards compartment and the bit for bikes. I would do your maths again....having caught the train for years to Southampton when I lived in Weymouth I dont think I ever saw 500 people on one, never mind 5000 !!!

No........there will be 20,000 less than capacity, the losing teams supporters will leave first anyway, and the powers that be are well versed in getting supporters away on the tube in quick time. Just because someone told someone something means nothing.
