Who is he loaning the money to ? Himself ? He is the owner. If you buy yourself a new TV are you loaning yourself the money to buy it ? How many times does NC have to say that ML is funding this out of his own pocket as an investment ? If, and I think its a big if, he decided to sell the club in a few years time it would be worth a lot more than the price paid to get the club out of admin. And why do you say the club is running at a loss this season ? The attendances have risen dramatically, especially this week and the prize money for each round of the FA Cup as well as the £250,000 for live coverage of Saturday's tie......even the Echo conceeded that Saints were going to rake in over a million on the back of the JPT and FA Cup runs....and now a Wembley final and all the extra merchandise......I would doubt if this club, or many others for that matter has been in such good financial health.

We have an owner who has readily made funds available, who comes over for most if not all home games and has been to some away, who always looks happy when he is here and who has said he is in it for the long haul not just a short term thing so why do you want reassuring ?

Quite right, he did get overly excited and we were calling for AP to substitute him as you can never trust refs these days. He did show plenty of passion and desire to win which is grest....he could have kept his mouth shut and not got quite so involved though but fair play to him for having a go at Ince. They wanted someone sent off, that was clear, their number 9 was a pain in the arse with his constant nagging and whinging.

Perhaps the extra discount on ticket prices for cup matches might be the thankyou to Season Ticket Holders. Perhaps the coffee at 6.30 in the morning was for the people who decided to queue from the early hours of the morning in the middle of winter which Season Ticket Holders didn't have to do. In terms of practicalities in getting away fans from the stadium as quickly and as safely as possible the only option is to keep them near Britannia Rd which would mean the only alternative I can see is the Itchen/Chapel corner. Put them anywhere over the other side and you are asking for trouble, especially over the footbridge. You would also have the added problems of away fans mingling too much with home supporters going off in every direction. Whilst this would be fine for the majority of away fans, certainly in this League, what about when we move up to the CCC and hopefully the Premiership and you are dealing with large numbers of Leeds, P*mpey, Millwall etc fans ? Unless these supporters that have a history of causing trouble are kept in after the final whistle like in the bad old days then personally I think it is asking for trouble. They were put in the Northam/Itchen corner for a reason....and that reason had to be that it is the most obvious place for crowd control and access. Only my opinion of course.

Where have you got that from ? I thought we simply extended his loan until the end of the season when he will be out of contract with Reading. I would sign both of them without a doubt.

As another poster has mentioned we have bought 5 in and 4 have gone out either sold or on loan plus Trotman and Mellis went back to their clubs, so we have actually got one less player than we did at the start of January. Many of these players that AP wants to move on are probably out of contract in the summer so there is natural wastage to be had there. Puncheon can play anywhere in midfield and I suspect from his comments on the OS that AP will have no qualms about using him in central midfield if the need arises. Add to that the signing of Ostmebor and the soon to be fit Murty, plus Wayne Thomas which will release James to play or cover in midfield as an additional option. Central midfield can currently be made up from Hammond, Morgan, Wotton, Puncheon, James, Gillett and at a push Lallana so thats not bad for a league 1 side to be fair.
