  1. Well to be honest I think your observation is totally flawed. For one you dont know what sort of pitches Puncheon is used to playing on, he may not get "mud bound" like some apparently do. When Morgan was out injured at Wycombe AP bought in Antonio who went off after 37 minutes, it wasnt an injury, so he obviously wasn't effective. Add to that you want a player you admit not knowing much about to play right midfield ? ummm. Players who are "struggling" on anything that does not resemble a crown green bowls surface should not be taken out of such games, they need to learn how to play on these surfaces. Its not American Football where you have certain players only capable of playing certain moves. The problem is that if we keep hearing about these bad pitches then the players will get a mental block about playing anywhere that isnt ideal, they will then be beaten before they step off the coach. They need to adapt to these surfaces, AP has as good as admitted it. It is one of the last bits of the jigsaw that needs putting into place to ensure that this club gets promoted next season at the latest. Chopping and changing the side during the Cup runs was after all the reason given for our dropping off the pace in the League. Introducing that policy again for tricky pitches would IMHO be folly.
  2. Probably a better player than Bradley Wright-Phillips even at 90
  3. Up to 36,200 sold by mid-day today
  4. James is injured anyway. I would just like to see who 19C nominates for those two replacements to be honest
  5. Who are you bringing into the side to replace Lallana and Puncheon ?
  6. and Lancashire plus Jake Thompson.
  7. I assume they dont buy the Green and Gold scarves from the official club shop then ?
  8. Not Pardew players ? Are you serious ? He praises Lallana and Morgan every chance he gets, he is yet to drop either of them and are so much centre to his vision its untrue.
  9. At last, a voice of reason, as so many of your posts are.
  10. 2 out of 4 IMO. Connolly will still be here on a pay as you play, similar to what he is on now.....why would you lose someone that classy who even playing only half the games will still net you a dozen goals ? Please expalin your logic. Jaidi signed a two year contract, end of story. Perry and Murty will go yes....as will Molyneux, Pulis, Lancashire etc
  11. I have no doubts about that so I stick with my opinion that if we are not in the top 6 come Christmas AP will be gone. I sincerely hope we are top and about 6 points clear come 25th December cos this is the best manager we have had for many a long year.
  12. Hence the need for a Director of Football role to act as a buffer !
  13. Indeed, you would think they were the only team ever to be docked points. We know its wrong, get over it.............altho having said that a few who were responsible are still there of course !!

oh brother...................he only joined us 6 or 7 weeks ago.
  15. I guess they just ran out of "48 hours"......
  16. Morgan has a sore knee.
  17. Yeah and I can say without fear of contradiction that they, and he, were wrong !
  18. There is absolutely no guarantee or nothing to suggest that the club would re-emerge as a healthy financial entity. There is nothing to suggest it would become an attractive proposition for a potential buyer because - a - there is no guarantee it would start life in the CCC on 0 points b - there is still the little matter of renting the ground, the land around it etc c - the fact there is, as Steve Claridge keeps trying to point out, no infrastructure at the club. d - there would be significant money needed to buy a team to compete in the CCC. Rupert Lowe, Portaloo, young players not ready ring any bells ? I'm sure there are many more but thiose will do off the top of mu head.....
  19. I would think they will be on very shaky ground when it comes to Financial irregularities. Look at Luton and as you say, to a lesser degree, Bournemouth. I dont think the -9 from the Premiership will be the end of any points deductions somehow.
  20. I notice over 6 hours after your post you havent come back and apologised for a rant at the club when the error is clearly yours. You never let a fact get in the way of a good old rant do you ? BTW is that seat at the Emirates still got your name on it ??
  21. Sounds like Pinnacle
  22. But I thought Harry Redknapp no less had described Storrie as a "real football man who is honest as the day is long"............
  23. No, you are absolutely right, it makes no logical sense, but if football made logical sense it would be a lot more boring. Leeds going to Man Utd and winning made no logical sense but it happened. I just dont think we will beat them for a fourth time.....obviously i hope i am wrong
  24. Unforutnately I think we will just miss out, probably by about 5 points. Law of averages if nothing else suggests we will not beat MK Dons again.....to beat a team 4 times in one season is one hell of an ask. I think the optimism following one very good result is good, but its only on a par with the over the top negatvivity that was evidient on this board when we drew at Exeter.
  25. Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Everton are 4 of their last 12......I assume you mean the other 8, mainly against teams who are desperate for points like Burnley and Bolton are the easy ones do you ?
