That’s the point though, homosexuality is offensive to their beliefs, so they have the right to refuse to make the cake. I in no way agree with their views but they have the right to live by them.
-
Here’s one, it may have been posted elsewhere. In the 11 months between beating Everton 4-1 and the coming Newcastle game, Leicester have won more games at St Mary’s than we have.

Top three players who made saints better since our PL return.
Lighthouse replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
Lovren, Wanyama and Boruc. Not the best but certainly the three who’d I’d say made the most noticeable improvement to the team. Honourable mention to Mané. -
Maybe we need relegation like we needed administration...
Lighthouse replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I think we can live without the jibes at alpine’s weight, it amounts to little more than bullying. His Saints posts are easy enough to ridicule, so stick to that please. -
I'm confused as to why Liverpool fans are booing Sterling, can anyone explain it for me? They've been insisting that we should all support a player when he makes a big money move to another club, for the chance to win titles. Surely they should be delighted to seem him doing so well and give him a standing ovation for winning the title last season.

Had a dream last night that Rudiger of all people scored a brace, so put him in the team this morning. Watch him now give away a 90th minute penalty, when Chelsea are already 3-0 up, get himself sent off and lose my clean sheet bonus for Alonso and Hazard (who wont be involved in any Chelsea goals).

Sell both, neither adds anything to the squad IMO.

That's a sign of friendship in The Netherlands.

As of right now, I don't actually have much of a problem with Gao. I know all that guff about taking us to the next level was just Kat trying to smooth her exit and make it look like she had the clubs best interests at heart but to me he is just a generic foreign Premier League owner, like everyone else seems to have. Strangely, the clubs who are doing alright never seem to have a problem with it but the ones who are struggling do. It all comes down to what's on the pitch. Gao hasn't done what I feared, which is sell everybody, try to build a team out of Gallagher, Sims, Targett and Stephens and spin it as some exciting young English team. We've spent money which is pretty much par for a club of our size. If we can't get some decent performances out of Vest, Moi, Gunn and Ings, then Gao isn't the problem.

Don't see why not.

I agree. Imagine thinking a player is good, just because he got an assist in a League Cup win on Merseyside.
-
Blimey. We did a win

I never said I disliked it more but it wasn't much better. Results were mediocre at best and the football largely poor. I certainly don't remember seeing anything I would describe as miraculous, which is the original point I was responding to.
-
When if other results had gone differently on the last day (when we were busy losing 1-0 at home to Stoke, without having a shot) we could have been about 13th? When if we had scored that last second winner, instead of Man City, we'd have actually been closer to the team in 7th last season? When we scored 3 goals from open play in 16 home games? When the best result we managed against one of the bigger teams was desperately hanging on for two 0-0s against Liverpool? When I had the day off for the Stoke game but was just so bored with the football I couldn't be bothered to go? When we went out of an easy Europa League group playing for a 0-0 because we were too scared to try and beat Hapoel Be'er Sheva? Yes, then.
-
I still remember those miracles, like when we failed to score at home for about 6 games in a row.

Michael Fialka's yacht has also been spotted in the area.

Basically we started a compost using all the whiniest nonsense we could find on other threads. Some posters have contributed more than others. Not mentioning and names but they always seem to be popping up on this thread.

Hell of a result that, for the Hammers. Edit: Ah, damn you whelk.

We’re 14th. Under Puel we finished 2 points above 13th, there’s really not much in it. Besides, saying we’re no better off now isn’t justification for keeping Puel. It’s like saying Millbrook is a sh*thole, so you’re off to live in Mogadishu. Getting shot over there doesn’t mean you were wrong to move out of Millbrook.
-
For all the stats and facts over win percentages, players sold etc. The fact is that I was just never entertained under Puel. Watching those games just wasn’t fun. I get that he was limited by the players he had available but he did have enough to try and compete with the likes of Hull, Be’er Sheva, Stoke and Bournemouth. Instead we just sat back and played for a dreadful 0-0 in all of those games, plus a fair few other. We had 3 good results at St Mary’s, all against very poor opposition. We put 3 past Leicester, Bournemouth and Palace. In the other 16 home games we scored 3 goals from open play. That’s just an appalling stat.

You’ve got a bit of a chip on your shoulder over this one. In his opinion, Sims didn’t do anything of note on his debut, however he has looked better since. So yes he has changed his opinion based on Sims improved performances.

Fox, Hooiveld, Kelvin, Sharp, Hammond, Guly, De Ridder, Richardson and Chaplow were all regulars in a top Championship team. None were Premier League standard. Just playing regularly doesn’t make them good enough on its own, more it gives them a chance to develop and gain experience. My mate with a Reading ST has been pretty impressed with Sims so far, so fingers crossed he can progress.
-
He once scored 8 in about 6 months under Koeman. I think that’s probably as good as it gets.
-
You can incredibly ordinary and still end up in the top half, as Leicester are right now. Wolves haven't been anything amazing, just better organised than we are. We've played well enough in patches against Brighton, Leicester, Palace and Burnley, we just can't do it for 90 minutes and usually bottle it in injury time.
-
Never knew that mate but glad to hear you've finally got justice. Fair play for having the balls to admit it in front of the nutters who haunt this place.
