  1. 2 of those were against Exeter and Accrington in the cup. Scoring his 4th league goal 5 months into the season is hardly special. Before kick off he was level pegging with Steven Davis.
  2. Looks pretty ominous for Leicester. Even if they stay up, they'll struggle next year.
  3. I sometimes wonder just how bizarre a troll can behave and still get bites of certain posters. This chap is clearly some form of deluxe alpine and still gets nibbles.
  4. Fantastic how you read this one link, on talksh*te of all places, and instantly assume it's a done deal and that we wont be signing anyone else.
  5. No way on Earth would Jay be daft enough to say, "you're black and you stink," to another footballer during a game. Doesn't seem the type of person to even think that.
  6. Is that one of those asset strippings where you spend nearly £100m on players like Gabbi, Lemina, Hoedt, Boufal, Hojbjerg and Redmond?
  7. Can you get promoted trying to sit back and defend a 1-0 lead at home to Burton Albion? This manager wouldn't get us promoted, another might.
  8. According to Saints, Youssef Safri still plays for us.
  9. And yet here we are.
  10. What a drab, uninspiring team that is. 10 possession recyclers and Long running around like a chicken on crack.
  11. I've got nothing against Jamie or McQ, who at least looked to be putting a bit of effort in. It's the likes of Claus, Fernandes, Beattie and Delap who went missing.
  12. Osvaldo is just an example of signing a big name trouble maker and being a complete disaster. Doesn't mean MB would be the same but whenever he has played in England before I've always thought he was far more trouble than his talent was actually worth. I'm not counting his goals in Italy and France because I'm interested in his performance in this League, which hasn't been that good. He's had one season in a creative, title winning team where his goal tally was in Pelle/Deeney/ Austin territory and 2.5 other seasons when he has done naff all. This is all academic anyway, this just seems to be another rumour based on a tweet.
  13. That's kind of my point, he has a history of banging them in in foreign leagues, then struggling to adapt in England. Osvaldo was Serie A's 3rd top scorer before we signed him IIRC, something like 20 odd goals.
  14. Am I alone in thinking he's not actually that good? 6 League goals in his first season at City 13 the following season 1 in half a season before going to Milan 1 in a season at Liverpool. I know beggars can't be choosers and that but didn't Osvaldo teach us anything about big name, Italian nutters who aren't actually that good?
  15. Loads more? It was a world record FFS!
  16. Like anyone gives a sh*t about that when signing players. I stopped reading when I got to the word 'ace'.
  17. I really don't remember that. If you're talking about that 0-0 West Brom game, I seem to recall there were boos at the final whistle but nothing aimed at him personally.
  18. Expect it'll just be another 10 men behind the ball, possession game, occasionally hoofing forward to our Championship level striker to chase after.
  19. We will not be making any knee jerk reactions with regards to the present manager.
  20. I agree. This guy seems like a deluxe ALWAYS_SFC; everything is the fans fault, we're all terrible (except him) and we deserve to be relegated. If it really was down to the fans MP would never have survived that Leicester result. The fact is Puel play some pretty poor football which seemed to get worse as the season went on. MP trying to defend a 1-0 lead against teams like Palace, Udders and Fulham is no different to Puel playing for a 0-0 against Stoke, Hull, Bournemouth and Be'er Sheva.
  21. This has been done to death. If we hadn't sold them Lallana, we wouldn't have been able to buy Mané. Likewise Lovren and VvD. Clyne would have left on a free anyway. We are selling them because they don't want to be here and we're getting obscene amounts of money in return.
  22. A year ago we had a highly experienced European cup winner, along side arguably the best centre half in the league. If we've replaced them with Hoedt and Stephens I am a pretty disappointed TBH. Don't get me wrong, Hoedt and JS have looked decent but that's a pretty big downgrade. Given that Gardos and Bednarek are nowhere near the first team, I would like to see a decent addition somewhere in there.
  23. Don't really care. He's a pr*ck, he's gone and he will probably do the same to Liverpool in a couple of years. Much more concerned about how we spend the £75m and if we can build a squad of players good enough to stay up in spite of the manager.
  24. Scored the winner in a cup tie against a club I don't particularly like anyway, big whoop. Personally I can't be arsed getting annoyed about a player who couldn't be arsed to play for a team who can't be arsed.
  25. Liverpool have Van Dijk at the back and a dyke up front.
