I don't think we'd have put out a press release saying he was being released if we were negotiating any sort of deal behind the scenes. I think we'd have just said nothing until we'd come to a more definitive conclusion. On that subject, Stuart Taylor hasn't been released despite being out of contract. Perhaps he is getting another deal.

If that's the case he has probably accepted an offer from a genuinely world class club. If Barca, Bayern or Man Utd have come in with a large contract, he's obviously going to go there instead.

I think a better question could be: Would you rather finish 8th with 46 points or 13th with 56? Granted that is unusually high for 13th but then 46 is unusually low for 8th. I'd take 13th with more points as I really don't care what number we are in the table. More points means we've seen more wins, more goals, fewer conceded etc.

Haven't seen anyone defending this act; I'm certainly not. It goes without saying that we don't want this kind of thing happening and we don't want these people in our country. What is up for debate is the solution. I don't think the answer is to stop Muslims coming here and I despair reading comments about how 'we now tolerate Muslims coming over here and raping our underage children.' We need to nip this problem in the bud and that bud is British born Muslims being isolated, brainwashed and marginalised. I personally would start by banning all religious schools but that would upset far too many people.
