Can't be true, all other clubs our size hang on to their best players.
-
Just more made up Glaswegian numbers. Seem to remember Moyes was paid about £5m for severance from Utd and he had a much longer and higher paid contract.
-
Exactly. They were also 4 places ahead of Stoke but only 3 behind Man Utd, thus proving how massive they now are as a club.
-
That could be a fine appointment but I've heard he can be a bit rough on the players.
-
I don't think we'd have put out a press release saying he was being released if we were negotiating any sort of deal behind the scenes. I think we'd have just said nothing until we'd come to a more definitive conclusion. On that subject, Stuart Taylor hasn't been released despite being out of contract. Perhaps he is getting another deal.
-
Call me cynical but that's an incredibly easy rumour for someone to make up when he's just resigned.
-
If that's the case he has probably accepted an offer from a genuinely world class club. If Barca, Bayern or Man Utd have come in with a large contract, he's obviously going to go there instead.
-
Glasgow sticking with the 'we paid £100k a week for an injured player who hasn't played for over a year and hasn't had a contract for 6 months' routine, I see. He did his job, he was there if needed. You don't sell a car and moan that you wasted all that money on seatbelts and airbags.

Saints just tweeted Martina Isgrove (finally) Willard Caceres All released

Choice: Saints finish 2017 season 8th but Boring, or 13th and Exciting
Lighthouse replied to eddie's topic in The Saints
I think a better question could be: Would you rather finish 8th with 46 points or 13th with 56? Granted that is unusually high for 13th but then 46 is unusually low for 8th. I'd take 13th with more points as I really don't care what number we are in the table. More points means we've seen more wins, more goals, fewer conceded etc. -
As poor as we've been this season, hilariously more than half the League was worse than us. Even if we do keep Puel and sell Virgil, I doubt we'll go down.

All I want is for us not to look like we're playing for a 0-0 draw every game. Especially at home to Be'er f**king Sheva. If we'd attacked teams like HBS, Bompey and Hull at St Mary's we'd have absolutely d*cked them, not lost 4-3. -
Two of our players in the worst 20 in the league

We keep being told this. I'm not sure what part of being offside and sticking a shot into row Z allows others to score somehow. Maybe I just don't understand football. -
Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Lighthouse replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Haven't seen anyone defending this act; I'm certainly not. It goes without saying that we don't want this kind of thing happening and we don't want these people in our country. What is up for debate is the solution. I don't think the answer is to stop Muslims coming here and I despair reading comments about how 'we now tolerate Muslims coming over here and raping our underage children.' We need to nip this problem in the bud and that bud is British born Muslims being isolated, brainwashed and marginalised. I personally would start by banning all religious schools but that would upset far too many people. -
Just looked on wiki and Clifton James passed away a month ago aged 96. I wouldn't say I loved him but he was at least plausible, unlike Golden Gun where a Louisiana state trooper is for some reason buying a car in Thailand. The duel at the end in the 'fun house' was a good scene but the plot overall is just boring and riddled with holes. It basically comes down to an assassin selling some solar panels. Goodnight is just a bimbo in a bikini and as plausible a secret agent as Denise Richards was as a nuclear scientist.

There's nothing to say we haven't been talking to potential managers for several weeks, behind the scenes

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Lighthouse replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Widespread public outcry and disgust at the crimes and the cover up by the Police, followed by lengthy prison sentences for the perpetrators. Not denying these were terrible crimes, committed by Muslims in Britain but I haven't seen anything resembling tolerance for it. -
Or any of his other crimes it would seem.
-
Not a bad idea actually. We could have a wage bill of £350,000 p.a. and win the league with 378 points.

Oh give it a rest, there's no such tolerance and you know it. The safety brief is no different to the one you would have had under decades of IRA attacks. -
Must be the money.

What we really need is to round up all these Muslims into camps, where they can be concentrated away from society until we think of a final solution to this problem. Surprised nobody has ever tried something like this before. -
We were closer to being relegated than we were to the next team above us in the table.
