  1. Is that Chaplow again?
  2. Came out a bit wrong. I meant that we should concentrate on buying what we need to get promoted this season rather than signing players that we might need next season. Just saying we can leave GK, CB, RB and CM improvements until the summer.
  3. Do either Muff in Ireland or ****t in Orkney have football teams?
  4. I don't think we will or should buy any more than we need to get through the season. Summer is the best time to buy upgrades on what we already have and build them into the team.
  5. As you say, the huge shortlist is there because Big Sam has left it too late to narrow it down to players he is preparing to approach. Well done to Nigel if he's been narrowing down the scouting pool to players he'd like to sign since September. It's good to have backups incase you don't get your first choice, but the length of Big Sam's "short"list indicates that he doesn't have a plan. I think he's trying to engage people by saying there will be lots of action, but I wouldn't be surprised if this backfires.
  6. A shortlist of 25 doesn't mean he's going to sign them all. NA certainly wouldn't come out and say it, but I'd imagine he has or had quite a long shortlist too. I'd imagine a hint towards lots of signings is meant to motivate his players.
  7. Can't come up with a team myself
  8. TBH I'd rather bring through JWP than sign another CM at this stage.
  9. Antisocial is your c*nt of a next door neighbour who plays very loud music late at night, unsociable is someone who doesn't make friends and avoids talking to people. P1sses me off when morons get those mixed up.
  10. NA could put his gloves back on?
  11. Pompey, wherever you may be you're on the verge of bankruptcy And you like to **** fish living in the sea Southampton is the place to be
  12. When is the draw for the next round?
  13. The idea is to know how you are going to clean up before you start tugging. If you are stuck, maybe you could swallow it or rub it over your face as jizz supposedly has anti-aging properties.
  14. A fairly average 15 for me without google. Stupid questions though, more questions about political culture, popular culture and convention would be more appropriate. These fiddly details arew things that no-one would expect the average person to know.
  15. Nope, it's just obvious that other clubs will be interested. Managers that don't know Cortese might have a pop. It's not like anyone's going to offer enough to make us sell. Being so central to a promotion push, I'd say he was priceless this season.
  16. Will he ever get a fair chance to impress? Very unlikely. Could he do a job in an improbable striking crisis? Most definately. Many point to his lack of pace. It's true that he isn't conventionally quick, but he's no slouch either since Adkins et al got him into shape. Teddy Sheringham was never that quick either but he used his intelligence and physicality to good effect. Lambert is the same. Crouch can't do 100m in 10 seconds either. He is sharp, he can play and he can score, that's the important bit.
  17. I wouldn't say no to an X factor threesome with Tulisa and Kelly Roland
  18. He must have testicles the size of space hoppers! He'll need a lot of mansize tissues when he has a ****.
  19. Influence isn't something that can't be easily bought. It's almost impossible to replace such a key cog with a carbon copy and expect business as usual from the off. I'd rather have Lambert than the money. He may well be nearly 30, but he's bloody good.
  20. Copied it off Sickipedia, just thought it was quite funny. Like the wife/girlfriend jokes told by people with neither with the aforementioned a significant contributor. That and the racist, sexist, homophobic etc nature of that site. The people at Wetherspoons who bung food in microwaves probably call themselves chefs to sound more important.
  21. I bumped into an old mate today. He said, "What you up to these days?" I said, "I prepare meals for the homeless, druggies, **** heads and down 'n' outs." He said, "So you work in a charity drop in centre?" I said, "No, I'm a chef in a Wetherspoons pub."
  22. The league cup has 7 subs still, so Wednesday we could see 1 or 2 if we're comfortable against Preston. JWP looks quality. Bit light (so many great players were at that age), but that can be worked on and he certainly has talent. Turns 17 in November when I'm sure we'll give him a professional contract.
  23. Maybe he is doing coaching badges here while he's rehabilitating? As a very experienced and influential player and generally a good guy, I think he could have something to offer in that capacity.
  24. When one of Chaplow, Cork, Hammond or Schneiderlin gets injured or susspended I guess? They all put themselves s bit so it could be fairly soon.
