  1. Too immobile as far as i’m Concerned & I don’t think we either play a style or have the players to utilize how he had success at qpr.
  2. Wonder if WBA are going to have keeper issues for this. Myhill couldn't kick by the end of this evening's game & foster missed the game with an injury. As for us. Stick with Long and Gabbi pls.
  3. Really wish JWP could hit his free kicks like that at first team level.
  4. Wouldn't want yedlin challenge to be a straight red but it was a second yellow. There's a huge issue of consistency though in decision making on those sort of lunges recently. I don't want players scared of tackling by fear of any mistiming resulting in a straight red. Equally I thought the head injury thing was hugely inconsistent. Last season we conceded after ref forced one of our players off whereas here he let them both stay on and also awarded a highly dubious possession to them when it appeared that if anyone had the ball it was us.
  5. Amazed by how disorganised Saints are defensively against such a mediocre team. I fear the score line when we come up against the likes of Man City. Positives we got 2 goals and a point, coming twice from behind. Gabbi took his first goal very well, long got us the second by some smart play drawing the foul and it was the best penalty finish i've seen from a saint in some time. Romeu was poor today. Lemina still looking good. Tadic very good in first half, quieter in the 2nd. Boufal has to be given a chance to start ahead of redmond. After forster had a string of games where he looked reasonably solid comes a terrible game. Miskick, getting caught out by crosses and that awful 2nd goal(a bad parry and then not covering the near post) I really would like Austin gone. He's just so slow and immobile. Maybe suits a team with byline wingers and andy carroll upfront but certainly not saints. I'd much prefer gallagher coming off our bench than warming the birmingham one.
  6. You'd think we're playing rugby union the amount we pass the ball backwards currently Coupled with the fact we play at a pace in line with walking football much of the time Also the massive gap in the middle of the pitch when we attack frustrates me. It's just so obvious we will shovel it wide because there's no one there. Tadic has been bright today. Long Decent. Redmond horrible. Gabbi absent. Goal very poor. Why no one wanted to mark the guy on the edge of our own box baffles me.
  7. Like the looks of the lineup. Was hoping to see Gabbi tried in a deeper role with long up top.
  8. Liked the below story. Shows how sometimes a coach has to be willing exert their authority. http://www.football365.com/news/he-broke-me-lambert-on-pochettinos-training-methods
  9. Denamrk or the swiss for me. Really want to avoid Italy.
  10. I think it is a reasonable compromise. Gives youngsters a taste of real football to help their development while being a million miles away from the horror of having B sides competing in the actual league.
  11. After all this focus on Stoke's lack of centre back options you just know Zouma will score.
  12. I'd honestly prefer to see Gabbi tried out wide if we are looking to tweak things.
  13. Thought Redmond was very good in the 2nd half against utd. Want to see a lot more of that in future, being willing to take on a man.
  14. Exceptional display by Saints. Drove Jose into parking the bus, bringing on a stream of defensive players. Deserved at least a draw. Lukaku outmuscling the otherwise very good hoedt the difference. Lemina is really quality. Dancing past those united lunges at the end was phenomenal. Thought Tadic and Redmond were very good 2nd half. Not sure how Long didn't get a fk in 2nd half he got in front of Jones who proceeded to bundle him over. Not sure we should have brought JWP & Austin on to be honest. think it disrupted more than helped.
  15. Pretty happy with how we are playing to be honest. Utd look a very dangerous side Romeu has made a couple of bad mistakes. Hoedt was very poor physically for their goal. There were a couple of instances where Davis who is having a very good game should have had a shot rather than playing the extra pass. Lemina looks fantastic. Long fantastic hold up play. That was a beautiful know down header from hoedt's cross field ball and you just want the anticipation to be better When we are having shots we are snatching them. Bertrand's one in particular. I'd like Van Dijk on for his physical presence personally.
  16. I'd be tempted to bring back in Van Dijk if he's looking up to speed after his u23 outing to try and deal with lukaku. Other than that stick with the same team that won the palace match.
  17. Yeah i really doubt we've got the dynamic players to be able to play with 5 at the back based on the Wolves display where we struggled to get out of our own half much of the time.
  18. Spent last night looking at Fifa rankings. It looks on a knife edge really for us. There's a number of teams tightly bunched for the likely last 2 places outside of Italy/portugal. republic coming 2nd might be better as they are ranked below us currently. We have to keep performing over last 2 games to try and ensure best chance of seeding as well as ensuring a definite play off place.
  19. Davis superb again for Northern Ireland as outmaneovred Czech's for another comfortable home win. As much as i like pretty passing it was an example of how without any penetration it's pointless. As for England, there seems to be a vast gap between the quality of the players and the expectations of the public.
  20. You'd think home to watford would be a chance to see what Boufal can offer. You''d also wonder if after a week of potentially being back in training vs the likes of Yoshida coming back from Saudi whether Van Dijk might be an option or is it too soon.
  21. Probably an Austin 6.
  22. Typical two faced reaction. No mention of keeping an unhappy Coutinho in his Liverpool analysis.
  23. I'm not. We've still three battling for one position in the starting lineup.
  24. Willing to have faith in manager to get more out of our existing players personally. Think we've strengthened in the two key positions we needed too. When you've got boufal who was brought in for big money only 12 months ago and due to the options we currently have has been used lightly so far this season I can see why they might prefer to see if he can adapt rather than someone new, especially if it's a last minute gamble on deadline day.
  25. I was at the liverpool games listening to people behind me criticising him and saying he should be subbed. Very funny how quickly they changed their tune after he turned that game on its head
