As long as it's not part of any notion of getting rid of cork.

Les Reed interview in the Indpendant

Morgan wants to go but we don't want to sell him. Don't believe we got good money for him either. Top class right back/centre back who likely be england regular. So we'll be playing this ready made England youth international centre back today will we? -

Yoshida's better on the ball IMO. Fonte did well last year as he was aware of his limitations. Lovren would try and bring the ball out whereas fonte was safest first.

Still can't forgive the sale of chambers. -
Decent defender as is fonte which is the problem. With lovren we had a quality defender to partner a steady one. Really hoping gardos is of that level.
-
Disappointing news about Gaston's absence. Hoping to see him fulfill potential this season. Not surprised about Boruc really. Forster and Davis is fine by me.
-
Seeing Chambers playing centre back for arsenal is really galling. Crazy decision to sell. Don't believe conspiracy stuff about clauses as why would club hide something that they could excuse them. Just a rank bad decision and a rank poor fee. At least i won some money on the game.

Phil Neville predicts Saints in Bottom 3 at end of season
Baird of the land replied to CalneSaint's topic in The Saints
Don't agree with Neville. Don't agree with those who think we'll be in top 10 either though. Hoping all our new signings work out and gel quickly but lot less positive than i was looking at team at start of last season. -
That's pretty much the team i would go for too. Love the look of that midfield.
-
Disagree Spurs approach was a right pigs ear until manager finally came out and picked one as his number 1.
-
Never for a minute thought Boruc would sit quietly on the bench. Interesting to see if the club do anything or if they are simply going to tolerate a disruptive influence because it means they have more cover.

Forster, clyne, fonte, yoshida, Bertrand, wanyama, cork, Davis, Ramirez, tadic, pelle

My money is on Mackay, given his mate moody is already there in charge of transfers.
-
Well he signed on to a set up where others had control of transfer policy not him. If he wanted to grab complete control as some articles suggest then I have no sympathy. If board broke promises that might be a different issue.
-
My view is fair play to the board for sticking to their guns. It's a dangerous but ballsy move.
-
Wow, didn't see pulis leaving. Guess he wanted to take apart structure they had established to give himself more control and they baulked at it. Hopefully that puts to bed any notion of cork leaving for there.
-
If i remember correctly didn't Redknapp give it to that awful player that was Tommy Hajto.
-
Yes he was at league 1 level.
-
Hmmm, well I suppose someone was going to be given that shirt. I'd hoped when Lambert left there would be someone special coming in to take it but whatever. Let's hope it inspires him.
-
Disappointing that he's injured. Leaves us rather weak at centre back for opening weeks of season.
-
Big shoes to fill at centre back as Lovren replacement. Don't know much about him but hope to quote him alongside Killer as stellar Saints Centre back in future years.
-
Personally don't want Taider starting. Would be much happier with Cork in there.
